And if he got sacked, people would be complaining about that call. it's always easy to second guess after the play. When that play worked the first 8 times this season, nobody complained.

Of course because people for whatever stupid reason are judging backwards from the outcome (i.e. it failed so the call must have been bad) instead of disassociating a) decision making, b) execution and c) outcome.

With Cam as our QB, we might now need the O to bail out the D since the D seems to have taken several steps back from last year .

Nah Wilson just has always given the Pats fits since his rookie year. If you want a comparison of the defense just look at the lolphins game from week 17 last year vs week 1 this year. I mean some people were saying it wasn't good holding them to 11 points and 270 yards but then I see the bildos gave up 28 points and 400 yards (and could have given up more if lolphins had better play calling 1st and goal from the 2) to them and bildos are supposed to be the better team/defense or so I've read..

My only complaint is the lack of pass rush / speed on the edge to contain RW.

Very happy team was competitive and entertaining, especially considering the 8 stay at home covid-phobics

Honestly, I saw guys not holding their lanes.. Usually with running QBs, BB stresses keeping the QB in front of you and not giving up containment. Wilson was able to get outside our guys every time because they were rushing too far up field and opening holes for him to blow through.

Here’s my final take away

-the run
defense sucked
-the pass defense sucked slightly less
-Gilmore got pantsed all game
-everyone who covered Moore was humiliated
-we had no run game to speak of
-the kicker is trash and if he didn’t miss we kick walk off field goal
-MCD had some of the most pathetic play calling at the worst time.
-Harry showed some promise but I feel like if someone gives him a basketball foul he will fall over
-Edelman rose to the occasion
-Byrd is showing some promise

Lastly, every mother****er on here who doubted Cam and trashed the idea of him being on this team owes him a massive apology because it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt he is as good as advertised and is the single best player on this team and the only reason people will remember this game as a classic instead of a steamrolling.

It was a 54 yard field goal. Honestly a bad call by Belichick to go for it. A very rare one on his part..

To me it was the third down call. You know you are in no mans land given Folks foot on 3rd down. Run something that will gain you yards which puts you in position to maybe attempt a fourth down. Instead it was this mini pass to Burkhead.

I think what we’ve learned today is that Cam can keep up with the best quarterback in the league when he needs to. The defense let him down.

The Play-calling let him down just as much. They didn't use Taylor enough and they all but telegraphed numerous plays to Burkhead that got blown up.

Folks, it is very early to declare anything about this season yet--but it sure is a great sign that Cam is throwing the ball with accuracy like that.

N'Keal--we need you badly! Time to step up.

(Almost feel as though we need to add an extra down lineman and play 2 safeties in the box because our LBs are having a rgeat deal of difficulty back there).

Good game that came down to a few questionable calls by our OC and our overrated D. Seattle is elite and we hung with them. I think that is a very positive sign

How can you lose more than 50% of your starters from a year ago and be overrated? Who is overeating them. Atleast once a series I see a name or number and say who?

Agree with the rest. My expectations for this team went up substantially tonight. Assuming Cam stays healthy and the young GB guys on D grow with experience

51 but I get your point. NFL kickers though should be 75% on 51ers.

Yeah lots of good, lots to improve. The media likes to crown the Super Bowl champion after week 4, but there’s a loooong way to go. Patriots will keep improving, they could surprise some people, in a good way

Most frasnchises lose the greatest QB that has ever played (at any point), that team, except for SF with Young, go right in the shyttter ...for years...sometimes decades. I love the Patriots and Bill Belechick. Sure this was a tough loss but I found I enjoyed every freakin' minute...sorta like 2004/5.

He'll get credit from the people who have been patient and are watching him develop. The ones who don't know football but continue to blather on will be the ones who won't give Harry credit.
It's almost like we need to make a highlight video after every game to show people what he is doing, so they can stop wishing he was Micheal Irvin and appreciate what he does do for us.

Should have just gone for it.

Go ahead and tell us how he didn't step up.

Man, there are some smoking hawt taeks in here. You might’ve just watched a SB preview; both of those team are going to be very good in December and January.

Impressed with Cam‘s rushing and passing. He was the only one getting any rushing yards, unfortunately the Seahawks were able zero in on the Patriots best play.

Cam looked great!

Ya lucky bastards lose the goat, and still have a team that can compete with the best.

At least Jamal looked good. That's kinda like a win for Jet fans... right?
