One question; it seems to me like in the past two games that the refs are allowing“name” rushers from other teams to line up “in the Patriots “neutral zone. “

I don’t watch tons of non-Pats games, but don’t so often see this laxness in the other games I do catch. And certainly don’t see Patriots creeping into the zone.

is this just my impression?

Note: one of the things I hate about today’s nyjfl, is that Gotohell’s antics have turned me into a conspiracy theorist; where I believe he is capable of anything including manipulating officials.

The front 7 is now playing like we all anticipated. Same with out OL and running game.

Mac, Barmore, and Stevenson in one draft was huge for us. On top of getting Judon, Henry and Bourne.

Belichick and his coaching staff has turned it another notch too.

Bullish in this team. Titans without Henry and Julio, we should beat them. Bills games are toss ups. Any given Sunday is always in play, but I wouldn't be surprised if we only lose one more the rest of the year.

I’ll have to rewatch the highlights. But nobody was more notorious for lining up off sides than DT Kris Jenkins. I remember how bad it was in 2003 playoff game against the Cowboys who complained about it after the game.

The key point in that post "good". That's the right word choice, not great, nor terrible. Just good.

No NFL team can have All-Pros at every position. They can't even have 1 All-Pro total for the majority of teams. What you can have is "good" players - players that don't let an All-Pro type player like Garrett play like an All-Pro and take over a critical game like this one. Players that execute their role in the ultimate team game.

Good enough is good enough especially on teams that are built exactly that way - not top heavy, but role-based and fundamentally sound. Duggar and Bentley and Wynn - they ARE not GREAT players (Duggar might be developing that way), but they are GOOD players.

One thing I have just thought of that I find quite interesting... they've won 4 in a row, and all of the wins were not ever really close. 2 were "blowouts", 1 wasn't quite a blowout but was never really at risk, and the only one that ever had a close score was the Chargers game, but even that one felt pretty well in control by the fourth quarter and the Chargers scoring was just garbage time clock-killing stuff. So really it's been essentially 4 games' worth of dominance. Besides the Jets, these are playoff-contenders they're doing it against. Just prior to this streak, they lost tight games against TB and Dallas, who are title contenders... I'm really feeling quite positive about their trajectory. I think they might surprise some people and get a win against TEN or BUF in the next few weeks here.
First 4 games Pats averaged 18 points, last 6 games they averaged 34 points.........

Titans look good without Henry and Jones...should be a tough match up.

this still proves nothing.

we won against Panthers who were without CMC (just played a few snaps as a distraction against NE and has over 150 YDS vs Arizona) and against Cleveland without Chubb and Hunt.

this NE team has to grow to make it to playoffs this year. I see some serious teams on our schedule.
You're right - every Patriots loss - deserved. Every Patriots win - lucky.

To steal a classic GDT line: When do pitchers and catcher report again?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - Titans built and play much the same way as the Pats franchise.

just back from the Razor....THIS was football weather. You could hear the helmets cracking on contact. I think the "he hit the wall!!!!" by the super-knower-of-things idiots on this board is now revealed to be complete and utter bullcrap...much like every single pukefest post they make all day and night.

Seeing Stephenson up close today I came away a bit shocked at what a bruising, talented running back he is. No ball security issues either even though he was gang tackled and had the Browns ripping at his arms and hands almost every single run. BB sitting him down early in the season seems to have worked as intended. I'm one Patriots fan who has trust and respect for this coaching staff. What they have put togehter is astounding IMO.

Yeah, but...Mac Jones and the Wall...jeezus krist... can't wait to read the NEW whackjob complaints tonight and tomorrow.
