mac jones has 4 TD on the year. 4...he's played bad D's too

Most of the Ds he has faced are some of the best in the league (Jets twice, Indy, Baltimore). Zappe's two starts are against the two worst teams in points allowed.

Those D's are garbage.

I think moving Strange to Center would be better than having Ferentz on the field. There. I said it.. LOL
By Thursday night? Oy vey!

Mac was 23/27 today because he didn't throw the ball away. He should have thrown it away at least 4 times. We would have had one or more TD's if he did.

BB has done another magic job with this team to this point. Getting this 2nd win over the green pukes will hold me until next season. I think ,as we'll see going forward, we'll need to really enhance the OL through FA/draft AND revamp/rethink the offensive coaching staff. I think you must be blind if you think Patricia hasn't been an atrocity as OC.
Andrews is cooked. Wynn played somewhat competently at LT today but Brown is another year greyer and neither should be in the Patriots plans next season. The OL depth is, talentwise, below average IMO. The Pats need a proven O co-ordinator to come in here and clean house, straighten out the play calling and give Mac a sense of security and trust. I do not and will not believe there will be a "2nd year jump!" as far as Patricia's play calling AND coaching goes. Has to change IMO.

Comparing this defense to the 2003 and 2004 defenses are an insult to those defenses. This D has not been tested really at all. Zack Wilson couldn't even complete basic NFL throws today.

Brady was also not a game manager then. Especially in 2004.
I would respectfully disagree….we held them to 3 points no matter how you slice it….and our D has been improving every week and slowing down or shutting down opposing offenses…..meanwhile our O has been average at best on mild side….reminds me of 03-04

Mac Jones 23-27, 246, 0 INT.

Yep, OL was bad, play calling was at best meh, red zone was bad.

Luckily we made the big plays on D and ST, got us a team win.
Well said Bill Lee!

Six sacks. We will have to wait for the All 22 to know how many are his fault.

At least 2 were Jones' fault. One he just stood there frozen. Another he stepped right into the sack. 2 were completely on Cajuste. 1 was on Trent Brown getting knocked over like he was asked to do a Marshall Newhouse impersonation. But, Trent was recovering from being sick. Regardless of how much IV fluids you get, being tired is being tired.

That's a little overstated he's played two bottom of the league D's and the rest are around middle of the pack. Also, playing against Jones helps your D point totals

The fact that Jones averaged 14 yards a pass on first down and was 100% on his passes on that down and none of the passes were for first down is damning for the team about first down penalties. It has been a problem all year.

Except when you take into consideration that those penalties were pretty much all BS. Especially when they refused to call the same things on the Jets OL.
