If you look at what the Dolphins did in the second half, they fed Ahmed the ball when he found success and they kept feeding him and he was in great rhythm. Conversely, even with Sony having success running off tackle, McD refused to feed him the ball and often times didn't give him any touches even after some successful runs early in the drives.
Another gripe is when the Phins started pounding the hell out of the defense running the ball. At that point you gotta commit to stop the run. Run blitz, shoot the gaps, do something different. Playing read and react, trying to shed blocks was not doing it at that point (our guys could not shed blocks to save their lives in the second half.) There was a two play sequence in the second half were Duggar actively played downhill and directly stopped the run with no gain, and was involved in stopping the other play because of his aggressiveness. Why didn't he play that type of aggression more often? Why didn't our defense play that type of aggression in the second half?
What's the point in starting Newton the last two games? Might as well play Stid to see what we have and get a proper evaluation vs starting defenses.
