Look at all the great college QBs who are out of the league or bouncing from team to team? Baker Mayfield has a better arm than Mac Jones and he is on his 3rd team this season.
Holding the Bengals to 22 points when missing a number of CB's is a real achievement. How the team adjusted to the Bengals game plan was the real reason the game was close at the end.
Besides the filthiness of Corky Doody's dirty cut block, why exactly is he trying to take out this Bengal in the first place?
Is Mac worried Bengal #20 might tackle Bengal #57?
His utter lack of awareness for the situation defies explanation.
Who besides Brad Marchand might understand the logic such a cheap shot?

1 - Shut down the Pats strength on offense (the running game) Which they did holding NE to 61 rushing yards and Stevenson to 2.3 ypc and 30 total yards.
2 - Force Mac Jones to beat you.

The thing is that if Stevenson didn't fumble away the ball on first and goal with 55 seconds left down by four with the Bengals with no time outs left, this defensive game plan might have cost them the game.
I know you are trying to say this to trash Jones, but it wasn't Jones who cost the Patriots the game and he played really well in the second half after Patricia took the governor off of him and Kendrick Bourne.

Unfortunately this has been the opposing defensive plan since the end of last year. It is the reason that the new offense was put in place. The revolution was televised and it is clear that MP was not the guy to lead the offense to the promised land. The beginning of the year sling it 50/50 strategy was bad. Maybe the second half of the Bengals game is an indication that Mac has learned how to balance taking shots down field with protecting the football. Now all we need is continued solid OL play and an OC that does not scheme plays where the receivers run into each other. Minimizing the number of 3rd and longs would also be nice.
I wasn't comparing the two teams. They aren't even in the same ballpark. When you mentioned only crossing midfield once it made me think of that Bears game.
The way that contract was structured is offensive to me. Knowing that they were going to lose him to a suspension they put 229 of the 230 mil after the first year. That had to be done with the blessing of Goody & the 32.
I was originally a Browns fan before the Pats were born and have rooted for them over the years. Not any more. Not enough bad things can happen to them to suit me now.
Except when they play the Squealers... or the Murderer-Worshippers... or the LOLphins... or the Jete... or the Indy bloodClots... or Little Nicky Caesar's team... or the Donkeys... OR ESPECIALLY the f ucking evil f ucking Queefs.

All the other missed opportunities by the QB don't matter.
It's come down to blaming the Refs and individual plays just like Raider fans blaming the Tuck Rule for losing. Anything to deflect any accountability by The Guy.
