Really he had a loaded team and went 52-48, thats mediocre, thats JAG level
He had a different QB (Fitz, Hoyer, Osweiler & Savage) for 4 consecutive seasons until he got a rookie Deshaun Watson in 2017; who subsequently tore his ACL during a practice that same season…

what "good" quarterback have the Patriots beaten since Brady left?

Very well said… Brady has always had a great arm… With Mac, you can only get so much out of his anatomy and ability… He’s not gonna be a big time cannon, and is more of an Alex Jones game manager…. Which obviously can definitely win similar to our team in 2001 through 2004 just have to have an elite defense and a decent enough offensive line.
Mhm. Brady doesn't have a crazy arm like Mahomes and Favre and Allen but he still has a very strong arm. He's just not a guy that throw on the run very well.

Mac's arm isn't weak, but it's not that strong. Zip comes and goes, and his deep balls sail too much. He can't throw them on a line.

Well, really it was 5 1/2 but the refs moved us back a yard because the NFL front office thought it was proper..
The replay clearly showed Stevenson's knee down with the ball at the 6 yard line. I had no issue with them moving it back, though it still should have been a 1st down because the marker was on the Pats side of the 6 yard line.

The Patriots are 0-5 against teams with a winning record, they put themselves in a 0-22 hole, which probably should have been worse, so it's hard to put the outcome of this one on a non-whistle.

Arguably the whistle should have been blown there but it wasn't and the players know they have to play to the whistle. It's not like Stevenson let up on the play at any point either.

The game was really lost on the complete no-show in the first half. Not many teams can overcome a 22 point deficit. Not especially offenses as generally anemic as the Patriots.

Yes, that's my point. They moved him a yard back behind the line.

The Good:
Marcus Jones: Kid is a baller. Played a helluva game. He did have issues against Tee Higgins, but that's to be expected when the guy is 7 inches taller than you. His Pick-6 kickstarted the comeback.
Mathew Judon: Such a good player. The one blemish was the hands to the face penalty.
Kendrick Bourne: Finally out of the dog house. Has a 100 yards receiving and 29 yard run.

The Bad:
The O-Line: Gave up tons of pressure.
Penalties: This is the most penalized team in the BB era. My god. From the false start by the offense to the RTP by Judon and the Hands to the face by Uche. The are their own worst enemies.
The Red Zone Play-calling: Yet again, the Red-Zone play-calling left a lot to be desired. On the play that Stevenson fumbled, the Bengals had more players on the short side of the field. Jones should have seen that and send Rhamondre wide left.
The use of Tyquan Thornton: They just aren't using this kid properly yet. I will say that he should have had the 1 pass that hit him in the hands, but they need to be using him on crossing routes and deep slants where he can use his speed to pull away from defenders.

The UGLY:
Myles Bryant getting so many snaps. When he's on the field, 90% of the time bad things happen,.
Rhamondre Stevenson: Coughing the ball up to end the comeback. Whether his forward progress was stopped or not, he gave up the ball. Palardy: drops the ball on the snap and then barely gets it off.
Nick Folk: Missed not 1, but 2 XP attempts.

I understand what people are saying about Rham and forward progress (he broke one tackle getting pushed back) BUT it is a really cloudy rule.

Consider, if he had fallen down where he fumbled it, they would have spotted the ball at the 3, not the 7. I realize he was possibly disengaged, but they wouldn't have spotted it back at the 7

So why was Bourne in the doghouse anyway? Probably would have been better if he played this season.
