Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Bengals beat the Pats

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Trent Brown is brutal ...
A half decent left tackle and our record would be better .... he's just a big parking post out there.

Zero points first half... The first half scoring must be last in the league especially if you take away defensive and special teams score. Please let me see another qb

Kraft is the owner but Bill is the CEO of this team. He makes the final call on staffing decisions and he's the GM. Hes gone completely senile if Patricia stays next year. He hired JMD when he was a young offense oriented guy. He needs to do the same thing here again.

That final pass was clearly underthrown by Mac. Thornton had a step on the DB. I suppose the next question would be if Thornton would have caught it. Probably not.
I just want Mac to throw a darn deep *in full stride* pass to a WR without their having to decelerate at all. He may have done it once with Bourne earlier this season (Miami Wk 1 I think). Criminal that Bourne hasn't had more playing time.

Who was the pass to, and who caught it?

What was the down and distance?

What routes did each receiver run on the play?
A hail mary has all recieviers running into one area. There was a TE there and Meyers near by it was a planned play with multiple routes run to get a first down

The team did fight back I will give him that especially after the first half where they looked like they were in vacation mode.

Regardless there are no moral victories as far as I'm concerned. The reality is, like I said in the game thread there was no chance whatsoever that New England was going to win this game with their inconsistent offense.
Inconsistent is a generous description

Our season is done. It doesn't do you any favors to be in denial about it.

What's best for the Patriots is to shape their 2023 season and to start doing that right now.
It's done now. Everyone knows that.

I'm talking about winning games and going to the playoffs. Winning the games we just lost.

If we're being honest, the Patriots were extremely fortunate to get back in the game. Major choking by Cincinnati, Pick 6, Chase fumble, Patriots get a TD reception off a deflection, etc. Better team won.

Some people seem upset with Bourne (because he was laughing on the sideline?) but today was a measure of vindication for him. At the very least he should not be losing snaps to Thornton.

No matter what preceeded it, we HAD the game in our hands. 1st and goal from around the 5, minute to go. That should be a win. To fumble there is completely and utterly inexcusable. Nothing else in the game matters. Just execute on a couple of plays and we win.

He’s the best receiver on the team and he’s been sitting on the bench. Why is that?

I mean. I wasn't sitting here hoping to lose games all season.

Season pretty much ended when they lost to the Vikings.

Losing to their Bears at home was also quite a tell for where this season was heading. They can climb rather high if they lose the next two.

Toms arm got stronger.
Tom had a very strong arm from day one. Look at this throw back in 2003 without even properly setting his legs.

His arm remained strong as he got older which was the unusual part. It's lazy reporting that says he had a weak arm simply because he was a 6th round pick.

Also he is a freak - to expect Mac to be like him just because he is our QB is delusional homerism and nothing else.
