This is an example of horrible play design.
The Jets sell out on the room. Mac executes a perfect fake. He's rolling to the left so you know he's not throwing right. The WRs on the right, their job is to block and hold up the DBs.
This picture is also totally misleading. It looks like Mac is getting ready to throw here. But that's not what's happening. He's actually tucking the ball because this is a designed run. He has the option to throw. When he sees the spy on him, he lets up, but he throws the ball ultimately much closer to the LOS. Both Meyers and Henry are stationary by this time getting ready to block for the run.
Now look at the middle of the field. It is wide open, TD.
On a play like this, Meyers should've been coming across the middle. That's a TD.
But horribly bad play design.
You fake a roll Mac on a clear run, and the Jets leave absolutely no safeties in the middle of the field? Please.
