'Bengals came ready to play' - BB

Great assessment of the win. Bengals came strong, concentrated, no mistakes. Pats endured and prevailed.
Big win over a good team on a good day.

Only really noticed Rowe on one play which was the pass break up when he was on AJ Green... hopefully he can play the Brandon Browner role as the best CB to defend the taller WRs (minus the penalties lol).

He's pretty much the reason why the Steelers limp into the playoffs. I think his yearly checklist includes injuring their best players.

Or .. the guy simply doesn't belong in the game. I hope someone devotes some time to this matter.
It doesn't do anybody any good. Out.

Oh BTW.....**** Dan Fouts and the CBS broadcast team today. Unfair in the coverage. Every Bengals penalty was "shooting themselves in the foot," as if they would have been off the field if they let Hogan go running free and make an easy catch. Pats were "getting away with one," while Burfict tackled Bennett's knee while the ball was in the air. Refs call penalties on the Pats for talking while Burfict over and over again instigated **** with everyone by kneeing them in the head after the play, chasing them into the huddle, headbutting people, etc. etc. That stuff is OK, though.

Unreal how biased he was. Totally unprofessional.

Let's here it for all the doom and gloomers in the game day thread.

Let's hear it for all the people slamming the O-line and not talking about receivers getting open..

Let's hear it for all the people whining about the Defense and how they never come up big..

Everyone else, feel free to post your constructive criticisms, your positive thoughts, and the legitimate gripes!!!

GO PATRIOTS!
Why do you guys follow the game thread and then complain about it? You can just watch the game and know what's going on. The game thread is knee jerk reactions for each play. People vent and get excited. It's not for the weak at heart. I personally enjoy it. IMO

He does play aggressive and he was lucky he didn't get a flag on that TD break when he pulled Green's arm.
But he is by far the most serious potential for our CB unit.

I'm generally not one to say stuff like this, but I think I wouldn't mind some US Foreign Policy-esque preemptive strike to take Burfict out for the year just because it means he'll injure less people overall.

1. Start Rowe across Butler
2. Play more aggressive on D
3. Have Hightower rush the passer more with Roberts emerging at LB.

This D has so much potential. It's frustrating when they play conservative.

Offense is nearly unstoppable when Tom has time. James White has improved from last year and been a pleasant surprise. We are a few tweaks away from having a heck of a complete team.

Wait till we get Dion back.

Yeah, agreed. If I was commissioner I would suspend him every time he did anything even slightly questionable at this point, and if he didn't stop I'd just kick him out of the league altogether. If you can't restrain yourself from taking cheap shots with clear intent to injure every time you're losing, then you have no right to play in the NFL.

Second half was much better especially the offense. Defense was a mixed bag all game though.

It was not perfect but hard to hate on a game which you surrender 17 points and get a safety.

*PFF grain of salt

*Through 2 weeks, PFF has Roberts playing at a pro bowl level and as a top 10 ILB in the NFL.

Will be fun to see how BB uses all 3 LBs.

PFF though not an absolute authority can lead you to some interesting stuff. Roberts to me is the solution if we lose Collins. I think having Collins is better of course but he can be that play maker who covers and uses a ton of speed besides Hightower.

TB had an 82.94% completion rate. That was pretty phenomenal! Maybe his best??? (Nope, just looked)
Problem for awhile was Dalton going 13 of 14 @ 92.82%. He only went 8 for 17 @ 47.04% the rest of the way (if I got that right) He wound up 67.83%, which isn't bad, but obviously nowhere near 92 and absolute crapola when it counted, albeit he was given a bit of grief by the D!

I gotta admit, I wasn't thrilled that White seemed to be such a big part of the game plan when we have the dynamic duo + JE & DA, but he came through and just proved once again that I am an idiot and BB and co apparently know what they are doing.

It seems like everyone would understand BB and co know what they are doing, but in the heat of a game not going well, sometimes we forget (though they do come up with stinkers now and again, ala the game plan vs Miami in last years final game, STILL blows my mind and has to go down as one of BB's worst)

Fun Facts
Brady's BEST was in a playoff game vs JAX 26 of 28 for 262 and 3td's for 92.9% good for 8th all time
Incredibly RG3 (?!?!) has done better 14 of 15 for 200yds and 4 td's for 93.3%
Steve Young and McNair both went 15 of 16 for 93.8%
Ryan Tannehill went 18 of 19 fir 282 and 4td's and is tied for #1 all time
Noticeable is all the best were low throw games aside form Brady's 26/28

He's just following the script given to him by park avenue.

Bennett should never want to leave here. He is winning a ton and being fully embraced by his teammates. I think when push comes to shove next year he leaves a little money on the table to stay.

Agreed however we should pay Bennett the money he deserves. No need to low ball him
