wow Vorhees to the Ravens in the 7th. they might have gotten a steal there.

I think the PLAYING is fine.. Neil missed almost all his cues and sounded horrid..
You’re right, I shouldn’t have penalized the band for Neil’s issues. Maybe it’s just time for a new lead singer.

Hope pats grab Justin Shorter WR UF as UDFA if no one grabs him… watched a lot on him this year…great talent….6’4….good separation

Here’s the negatives on him ….”lean and frail”….he needs to bulk up….. and there will only be one Edelman

Demarco Douglas SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES

  • His ability to track the ball is good enough, but Douglas sometimes lets the ball get into his body downfield rather than snatching it with his hands.
  • Douglas really isn’t a guy who will create a lot of separation.
  • Lacks ideal size and strength and is a ·mallish target with a lean, frail-looking frame. Can be overmatched at the line of scrimmage when physical !le/enders get their hands on him. Struggles in press coverage and was knocked on his back more than a few times.
Clearly his size is why he was a 6th round pick, but if they use him on quick slants and screen passes I like his ability after the catch.

As someone who saw just about every 80's rock bands in person live, I can confirm Vince Neil never had a good voice. There are some legitimately great singers in that genre. Vince was never one of them.

The studio production did wonders for him.
I was going to say that "at least he got mega <K*****>" but I'm not sure how far the Kuntz jokes can go now that he is a Jete

Ferentz has a $200k salary guarantee. Nothing wrong with keeping him around on the PS as deep depth.
We have no guarantee that these new players we drafted are better than Ferentz. Let's see them in training camp first. Those new IOL we drafted might live up to their 7th round/UDFA projection, just because we took them in the 4th doesn't make them actual 4th round worthy talents.

BB is infamous for reaching with his draft picks, and he might have done it again.

Dang it! There goes Lew!

Nyland was one of the top kickers in the country. Some had him rated higher than Moody.

What did the Pats have BEHIND Strange and Onwenu? Ferentz, Russey, Hines and Murray.. If that made you comfortable, then we need to really talk. Not to mention that Onwenu is a free agent and there is no telling whether or not the Patriots have tried to extend him or not. If they have and he rebuffed them, then getting guys who can develop in the system for a year and take over from Onwenu next year is a good thing. It's also a good thing if they allow the Pats to move on from Ferentz and Murray.

Folk is 38. He doesn't do kick-offs and is limited in his range. They cut their kick-off guy in Bailey and I don't know of a Punter in the draft who can handle them.
Ok I feel a LITTLE better.

I get what you are saying about the interior OL help. I didn't realize Owenu was a FA after this season. Maybe the plan is to play HIM at OT. If so drafting two IOLmen makes more sense. I also understand drafting a punter. I did so in every mock I did, but adding another FG kicker was a luxury, when other more pressing needs apply, and certainly NOT in the 4th round with a trade up.

Like I said, they NEED a guy to KO, Folk wasn't good at it, but drafting a strong legged punter like Turk or the Rutgers kid, or even the guy the eventually DID draft in the 6th could do that job and be happy to see Faulk make all the FG's he should make. 4th round seemed WAY too high.

At any rate I'm just concerned they passed a NUMBER of quality OT prospects that would have had the potential to be starters in 2024. Now we have a quality starter in Brown, and a FORMER quality starter in Reiff who is at the end of his career. I can only hope that when they looked at that group of guys like Breeland, Warren, DJones, Duncan, etc., they felt that they already had better prospects in Stuber, Cajuste, McDermont, and Anderson.

Again his is a knee jerk reaction, based on seeing all the guys I liked on day 3 go elsewhere.

People keep saying this but who decides its a reach?

5'8 180 vs 6'3 180. Demarco Douglas, pound for pound is better built than Twiggy Thornton our 2nd round pick from last year. Douglas might be short but Twiggy is downright anorexic. Although if you said that Thornton should have gone in the 4th rather than the 2nd, you'd have no arguments from me.

why did we draft ameer speed? the highlights posted on pats.com show him to be a poor tackler. what are we getting with him?

hunter luepke still available?

A career special teamer with a 4.33 40 is what we're getting. BB will spend picks purely for ST this late in the draft. It's not surprising by now.

Cory Trice to the Steelers in the 7th! man they are killing it in the draft this year, aren't they?
