I went to LSU and I am a huge fan. I love my Tigers going to the Pats. However, Kayshon has been an enigma for his entire career down here. Early on, I think he mentally bought into thinking he was going to be the next in line to OBJ, Jarvis, Chase, and Jefferson. Last year, at full health, his productivity was crushed by Malik Neighbors. He's not very athletic, doesn't show up in big games, and somewhat of a head case.

He's a Patriot now, so I'll always pull for him, but he needs to get his head out of his ass to be a productive NFL player.

Wow Kayshon Boutte was available in the 6th? We actually went for an offensive playmaker? I'm shocked by this pick. Who kidnapped BB and allowed this pick to happen?!



Boutte scouting report has him as a 4th rounder, so we got a 4th round talent in the 6th. If he can improve on his consistency issues, Boutte could show out better than that. Now this is the type of pick that we've been looking for.

That scouting report was wrong. The 32 NFL GM's think he is ne better than a 6th round talent.

Bryce Baringer has one of the biggest legs in college football. Baringer led the nation this year in both gross and net punt average. Despite only forcing fair catches on 20% of his punts, he didn’t give returners anything to do with it. His 49.0 punting average stands out, and so too does has solid 22-to-4 ratio of inside 20’s and touchbacks. Baringer is capable of consistently putting of 50/5.0, meaning 50+ yards of distance and over 5.0 seconds of hangtime. He’s a little less experienced than some of the other punters, but not to a significant degree. He earned 1st team All-America honors this season for a reason, and has a chance to be the 1st punter drafted following a strong performance at the Senior Bowl.

Baringer was one of the punters on my radar. I would have preferred Turk because of hang time. But Baringer was clearly one of the top college punters in terms of average punt distance.

I suspect folks would have been fine with Boutte in the 3rd or early 4th. I'm fine with what we got. We have 4 WR's. A draftee with a shot to be really good was a luxury. However, we got one. He can rehab. But whatever happens, he is a fine prospect for the future,

Given it's a weak draft I was into the mindset that if you end up with 3 starters you've done a good job, I think there's more than that already
