Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread - Week 8....Chargers @ Pats

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

His best game where they basically told him to follow Evans only and not pay attention to anything else. I don't think that is what BB thought he was getting.
I can't believe people argued that he was the cause of communication break downs. It was so obvious to see.

Ok you people can think that the Pats schemed the concussion protocol to bench Gilmore.

While the rest of us will think that Belichick is completely ok with having a guy that he can go put on an island against a guy like Mike Evans and shut him down.

Wasn't he listed questionable with an ankle/concussion all week? Maybe he isn't cleared for contact yet. Maybe his ankle is in bad shape. Maybe they don't think that they need to risk further injury this week. Bye is next week -- give him another two weeks to heal up for the post-bye run. Best not to jump to conclusions.

I hope you are right...but why leave the stadium?
Why not watch from the lockerroom...or just sit on the sidelines to support your teammates? The only reason to send him home is for discipline or concussion.

Just an FYI. He played in both man and zone coverage that game.

Big game for Pats . maybe not so much for the result . but for team building. Chance to show this team can overcome serious roster handicaps . come together further as a unit . enter the bye with confidence and determination that they can fully attack the second half of the regular season when some new healthy bodies join the battle..

Listening to a patriots pregame radio show for the first time. Who are these guys and are they always this insufferable?

Beautiful weather out at Gillette today <sarc>.

So when it was hot they ran out of water...what do they run out of today?

If you're listening to jim Murray on 98.5,then yes... He sucks

I'd say the writing is clear at this point. Gilmore is gestating until Bill thinks he's ready to contribute.

I can understand the speculation . but really don't see any let alone clear evidence.

The facts I am aware off is that he is officially listed with concussion (plus ankle for what is worth), had a very good game before concussion, had communication issues like the whole D (not only secondary; in re-watch threads one could see miscommunications in all relations not only or even mostly w Gilmore), and looked like #1CB on plenty of plays.

It will be interesting to see how it works when he is able to return, no doubt and consistency is something he has yet to prove . but Id expect he resumes his job as #1 CB the moment it is medically possible..

Based on the wind forecast, probably anchors.
