It's bizarre because he went out and got Patterson specifically because the new kickoff rules make returns easier. You'd think he'd try to kick it through the end zone every time.
Yeah, I liked this kickoff strategy before they eliminated the running start with touchbacks going to the 25, but it doesn't make as much sense anymore

The defense has been hands down the best unit today. 2 short fields, 2 turnovers by the offense, kept an offense that is just inconsistent in the game. No clue what game you are watching.
perhaps theres an orchestrated plan by BB/mcdaniels to limit gronk so they dont pay him??? wouldnt be that surprising. belichick is petty. and still love him!
