Everyone needs to chill out just a tad abut long this team long term. The offense doesn't look good now but there is a lot of time and games between now and the meat of our schedule.
I can't recall the last time Scar let the OL stay bad for an extended period of time. We have a lot of players who are dinged up or out.
Add Dorsett, Watson, Wynn and maybe Harry to this offense and I think it looks a lot different. While I agree if the Pats played KC today they would lose, they don't need to play KC today. A long time yet.
Well now that’s not exactly fair .....Peyton had a Jay Schroeder noodle arm goin in ADDITION to making horrible decisions and hearing footsteps...not fair comparison....Brady still has plenty of zip on the ball
Our QB is fine. Everyone around him is hurt. Edelman and Dorsett are hurt and the OLine sucks ass. Add to that no running game and you get poor offensive output
As much as everyone wants a new shiny receiver, I wonder what this offense would look like with two decent tight ends.....
Imagine Watson came back and was effective, and we added someone via trade (Eifert, Howard, Hooper, etc...). Izzo and Lacosse are just not going to cut it.
It's hard to evaluate our WRs when our OL can't give Brady time to throw.
And as much as Brady was known as the QB who stood in the pocket and made throws even when getting hit, Brady is playing now like what any sane 42 year old would feel about taking hits from 300lbs+ guys.
The Redskins back 7 is trash but their front is chock full of first round talent. Our greatest weakness is O-line, TE, and the skill positions.
Whether you wanted Brown here or not he mattered. The cap space lost makes some of the larger scale moves suggested harder to execute. Two roster spots are wasted on TE's that provide zero value in 2 of 3 phases of play. Marshal Newhouse a first round bust with a checkered injury history is starting in place our potential franchise starter at LT, their are two undrafted free agents WR's seeing playtime and one of them is a converted CB. Also Andrews while not the most physically gifted was a cerebral and valuable piece on the line. Karras is a decent filler but not what you want as a long term starter.
The TEs seemed fine earlier.. Both LaCosse and Izzo had nice catches.. The call on Izzo was BS, imho.. The DB had his arms and all Izzo did was raise them in an attempt to catch the ball. There was no push-off, contrary to Gumball and Green.
2006 scored 24 and 27 points in div and conf title games ON THE ROAD... don't see them scoring 20+ anytime soon vs anyone, nevermind vs a playoff team ..and I think SD was #1 D in league
