That said this feels like a game we can take over and make ours -- everybody else feel that too? Last year it felt like "yikes, we're not really ready to start this season yet"
I’d love to see the O utilize as many bunch formations as possible today. We got some wide open receivers multiple times out of it. Pittsburgh’s corners can’t press and then get caught up in all the trash. For whatever reason, Fat Matt decided to spread them out at the end of that drive and it stalled.
The opening drive script on offense last week in the first and third quarters were also very good. Seems like Matty P can draw up a very good scripted drive. The concern is the rest of the game at this point. Lol
Possible you're remembering full game last week vs. opening drive this week. I don't have any competing memory, just saying, separation would easily be affected by full game vs. first drive fatigue levels.
