Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread- Pats @ Falcons

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

With no practice - that at least in BB NE determines much of the roster, game plan, plays etc decisions - it will be interesting to see how much of the CLE game plan spills over and how much opportunity will the new additions get.

OL - wo practice id expect going with the same 5 + Onwenu. After this game they will have plenty of time/practice to determine best OL composition going into the key/hardest 4 game stretch. Hopefully its not injuries that determine.

DL - Matty is experienced QB who understands the game but is relatively easily startled esp. w inside pressure.
Im interested to see how they distribute inside pressure and blitz calls.

TE - Jonnu travelled which should mean he will be active. But Id expect a lighter workload, instead leaving blocking to Henry (who had best blocking game on Sunday) and Harry.

RB - Harris could be a bigger factor and could start the game but id expect Mondre to take heavier workload.

Are you actually from Scotland or an American living there?
You gotta love a Scot who’s a Patriots fan or even just an American Football fan in general.
Yeh born and bred in Scotland buddy. Football is number 1 sport for me and has been for years now. It's grown quite a lot over here. Most of my group of mates love the NFL.

You'd be surprised. Have a look at this video (the Scots get in on the act at 2:00).

I’d like to see the NFL bring back the World League. Put a team in Scotland, 1 or 2 in England and then others in Europe, mostly Germany. They need a minor league system and the CFL has fallen way too far behind talent wise. I know it failed the first time, but I think it’s more popular now. And there were some great players that came from it.

I thought they had a team in Scotland when the World league was around?

I have 3 things to do before the game, but should finish them all in 28 minutes. There's going to be 3 of us watching the game, together, and this will be the 28th game that we've all seen together. My thoughts are that there are 3 ways the Falcons can screw this game up. I see us winning by more than 28.

I hate Thursday games. They’re so sloppy.

On the road on Thursday is a big disadvantage.

Belichick preparing a team on such short rest, big advantage.

I want this game more than any other all season. Getting to 7-4 puts us in a great situation to make the playoffs.
This is the 3rd straight"huge" game. Guess what? Every game thats left is a huge game. Playoff race is very tight with multiple teams. Its awesome to be back in this position where we belong after last years fiasco.

My hopes and belief in the team grow with each win. This run has been fun.

Espn has interesting article on " most heartbreaking losses for every nfl team".
Atlanta's pretty obvious. But I was mildly surprised at the Patriots. They went with the 1976 playoff vs.Raiders, aka the Ben Dreith Game. As someone who endured that horror, it was by far the most devastating loss in Patriots history- until the 2007 SB. The '76 Patriots were the best team in the nfl, the Raiders were the 2nd best .The nfc was very weak and the Pats would've easily won their 1st SB. But I put the 2007 SB as the worst. I'm curious what other fans who watched the '76 game think. Not really interested in anyones opinion who wasnt a fan in '76- since youd have no basis for comparison. I suspect a lot of fans from '76 still rank that as the worst.
