The Three Finalists For Enshrinement Into Patriots Hall of Fame Revealed
James Lang - USA TODAY Sports
After a final round of voting by the nomination committee, the Patriots Hall of Fame Class of 2022 has its three finalistsÂ
On Wednesday, linebacker Mike Vrabel, offensive lineman Logan Mankins, and defensive lineman Vince Wilfork made the final cut.Â
Beginning today and running through May 16th, voting is open to all Patriots fans on the team website HERE.Â
Vince Wilfork, the likely favorite of the trio, played 11 seasons for the Patriots, earning five Pro Bowl invites and winning two Super Bowl titles, each at the start and end of his Foxboro tenure.
Mike Vrabel is a Patriots Hall of Fame finalist for the sixth consecutive year and was a key leader on the Patriots’ dominant linebacking corps that won three Super Bowls and appeared in four. He earned his only Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors during the 2007 season.
In addition to his defense, Vrabel became a secret weapon on offense when lined up as a tight end. All ten of his career receptions were for touchdowns in the red zone, including two in Super Bowls.
Lastly, Logan Mankin rounds out the finalists. Over his nine-year career with the Patriots, Mankins developed into one of the NFL’s premier offensive guards, earning seven Pro Bowls, five second-team All-Pro honors, and one All-Pro. Unfortunately for Mankins, poor timing saw him never win a championship, as his career spanned the drought between the Patriots’ third and fourth titles.
The fan vote winner announcement is on May 17th as a date and time for the 2022 induction ceremony outside the Hall of Fame will come later.
