This offense will keep on scuffling until they start throwing the ball down field. I don't give a sh!t if they complete it or not, but they HAVE to start to at least threatening the 10 -20 yd area. It will immediately loosen up the defense and open up the things they REALLY want to do,
How do you not have at least one slant set up going towards the outside so that you can make an over the shoulder catch and keep the ball away from the defender?
This is not a good football team. Of we lose and go to 2-4 I'll admit to being torn. Part of me says "sell for picks" with players like Gilmore and Thuney who I don't think are part of the future. But tanking is such a tough pill for a proud franchise.
