Claypool might be a decent second or third option for a team, but I never thought of him as a guy as you want as the best receiver on your team. Great speed for his size though

Or maybe it's the fact that unlike most teams, Patriots players have only had one route to the Pro Bowl (initial ballot) most years. The more common route (replacement who appears) hasn't been available for some reason.

I do see your point. But you'd think they'd be able to draft more than 1 pro bowl player even just on the initial ballot over the course of 7 seasons.
