Year 2 Jumps.
As long as the Fans don't have to.

Funny you say that. In California, a man won a 2 Billion Dollar Lottery Prize, After taxes, the lump sum payout was LESS that a half billion. Most of the 1 and a half billion dollars in taxes were California State Taxes. The IRS actually took a small percentage by comparison. If I'd won that same prize here in Wisconsin, I would have taken home over 1 and a half billion after taxes.
I’m as anti-tax, and anti-Cali as it gets BUT…

That scenario is more nuanced because a jackpot lump sum is generally half of the listed amount.

The listed amount is an estimate of total paid out over years with interest.

So $2B jackpot was likely $1B -$1.2B.

Cali + Federal tax would eat 45-60% bit not 75%

Danny Dimes, lol!

That said, if the Colts really don’t want to give up on Richardson yet but want to bring in competition, he’s the type of player they should get. Whether or not they’re making the right decision in not giving up on Richardson is a different story….

I'm not saying miracles can't happen especially with Robinson...but do we want ro go there with Caedan Wallace??
Probably not but its happened before. Usually there are promising signs in year one.
Maybe even Sow could take that leap with more playing time

Siddy so Sow's dip after his Rookie year is not encouraging.

I don't love taking a guard #4 and have argued against it. But I also don't see this as a great draft. Unless Carter or Hunter fall to #4, I end up talking myself out of everyone else on the board. I kind of noted in that post how if Carter or Hunter were there I couldn't justify taking him over those guys.
I'm right there with you other than Carter or Hunter I've considered most everyone and talked myself out of most everyone.

I did this before free agency though. When I consider yesterday's moves it makes me consider McMillan again. Bottom line is he easily better than anything we have at WR and so far we've come up with nothing else.

In order I want Carter, Henry, or McMillan and unless something big happens at WR I don't think I'll change my mind much.

My remaining free agent wish list:

OT - Jedrick Wills, Oli Udoh, Mekhi Becton
DT - Maliek Collins,
FS – Jonathan Jones
K - Joey Slye
Did Arizona sign Chad Ryland for more than one year?

If you look at Fries trajectory
Maybe Robinson or Wallace can take that 2nd year leap with Marrone as coach
Hopefully! Decent chance Onwenu is cut next year though with how his deal is structured. Strange is a FA. Moses is a stop gap. I still don't think there's a single player on the team I can project with confidence will be on our 2026 week 1 starting OL. So even if a couple of guys make a leap, still room for them alongside some longer term FA options.

You have to spend it on someone.
???
I think that the team has shown that they are willing to spend on players that will help the team going forward. They will get other players. As with those recenetly signed, many will be called overpays by posters.

That does NOT mean that we should just pay whatever players want.

The guy won 2B, but only took home 400M and change.

That Jaylin Moore signing was the one we should have made.
We're still not onboard with the understanding that players CHOOSE which team and offer to accept?

Is there any evidence that we could have signed Jayline Moore for near what he got?

If he had taken it as an annuity he would have taken home a lot more but over a longer period of time. That's how lotteries work.

That's some ******** (not what you said, the whole situation I mean). Granted, having 400M isn't something I would turn down. But such winners are getting screwed.
