I really don’t get what they had to lose. They could’ve still chosen to go back to their respective teams.
While they received good contracts, I believe they could have got even better had they simply waited until yesterday to sign.

It's not as if the Rams or Ravens would offer less, knowing they would have a hole at LT if they didn't match another team's offer.

My next question was going to be, other than Cam Robinson, do we have any coaching links to the remaining OL?
It’s actually a pretty long list if your standards are low enough. Here’s the list of PFF’s top 256 free agents, removing guys who have already signed to the best of my ability.

Tackle
Cam Robinson: Marrone with the Jaguars
Tyron Smith: Downing with the Jets (possible retirement)
Jedrick Wills: Vrabel with the Browns
Trent Brown: McDaniels with Pats/Raiders
Joe Noteboom: Brown with Rams
Kendall Lamm: Vrabel and others with Titans
Germaine Ifedi: Vrabel with Browns
Teven Jenkins: Brown/Houghtaling with Bears
Mekhi Becton: Downing with Jets
Matt Pryor: Brown/Houghtaling with Bears
Dillon Radunz: Vrabel and others with Titans
Brady Christensen: McAdoo/Brown/Kugler with Panthers
Daniel Bruskill: Vrabel and others with Titans

And that’s only the coaches who are or have been in a HC/OC/OL kind of role. Could go even deeper with things like Terrell Williams and Kevin Zeitler with the Lions, Mike Smith and Josh Myers with the Packers, etc.

Eagles are losing a lot of players this offseason so far. It’s the Super Bowl winner’s curse. Will be interesting to see if they can keep things rolling next year.

Guess that means Eagles wont be getting Becton back. Thought I read that Goedert might be another trade candidate there.

I knew I could rely on you. Thanks.

Good to hear we’re still involved with all these linemen.
I bet the Pats call about everybody with so much money left. I am not sure that means we are actively pursuing everybody.

No you would not. First, the 75% reduction reflects both taxes and the lump sum present value. The advertised price is always the annuity, and it is reduced based on US treasury rates for receiving as a lump sum.

Secondly, California explicitly does not tax lottery winnings.

Take a look at this website: https://www.usamega.com/powerball/jackpot
- the current $353m Powerball prize gets you $104.4m net in a lump sum in CA currently
- that same jackpot gets you *less* in Wisconsin, $91.8m.

Both numbers only reflect Federal withholdings; actual take home will be even less once final taxes are filed, but will be reduced by the same amount regardless of the state they live in since it’s Federal withholding.
Come on, we’re trying to smear California and here you are bringing facts into the conversation.

Stretch was with the Rams as well, although I do see your qualifier on roles. Agree with you on your standards. A lot of hold your nose there.

Where did he go??

Since Vrabel was in Cleveland last year he should know enough to avoid Jed Wills like the plague.

If you look at Fries trajectory
Maybe Robinson or Wallace can take that 2nd year leap with Marrone as coach

I'm not saying miracles can't happen especially with Robinson...but do we want ro go there with Caedan Wallace??
