There is at best 1 starting NFL QB every year. I have been basically right every year.
Your use of the English language is rather strange.

Your position is that we have at BEST one NFL QB each year. Maybe QB's play for 20 or 30 years?
======================
I'll play. Please give us your list the "starting NFL" QB's. We can then plug is their draft year and better see how many we have each year.

Yes, but last year with BB it was just as bad. At this point, it is systematic.

I have heard it said that the Kraft's think they are smarter than the other owners and that is why the 2024 FA money was not spent. Brady and Belichick covered up the ownership problems for 20 years. I am not sure about that, but the last few years seem worse and it appears very obvious. Wolf had a press conference and said that the OL would be OK - clueless. We had similar issues last year under BB, and it like the organization did not learn from last year. It is really hard to understand the situation because the shortcomings are so obvious, nothing was done to fix the issues, and then Wolf pretended like everything was OK (which didn't fool anyone). When the problems are so obvious, it is hard to understand. At this point I can only guess it is ownership. Under BB it was bad, under Mayo it continues to be bad. What is the only consistent thread? The ownership.
That's a good case you make. I guess I just haven't thought much about the Kraft's direct role in the team's failings over the past few years. I do believe, perhaps naively, that they largely leave football stuff in the hands of the football people. My beef of late has been the series of questionable hires, and I do feel they stuck with BB a year or two too long. So I question their approach to building a management team. I have tended not to blame them so much for the lousy rebuild and resulting lousy team as for failing to build a competent management team. Perhaps they have had a more direct effect on the rebuild and on the roster than I have thought.

I really don't buy the "The Krafts are Cheap" thing. I think that the perhaps the team's arguably over-careful stewardship of resources was as much Bill's doing as it was the Krafts', and after all, for many years that careful stewardship and long-view awareness gave us a steady stream of playoff appearances and a few Super Bowls.

I always thought it was BB as much as the Krafts, but this year the team was super cheap and BB is gone. This year it is clearly the Krafts who are cheap.

If R Kraft is cheap, it most likely reflects throughout his life. What billionaire drives his Bentley to a strip mall for a massage? Only a really cheap billionaire. R Kraft.

Patriots fall to 1-3 with Miami coming in next week. Discuss.
We got absolutely pasted. I expected the loss to the 49ers.

They are definitely better on paper. But I didn't expect it to be this comprehensively embarrassing.

The only good thing about facing Miami next week is that Tua is out. So in a game of sputtering offenses, maybe we stand a chance?

They missed on 2 kickers, spending draft picks on a position where talent can be found among the UDFAs.

They could not pass block and I backed that up with the numbers last season.

If it was all the QB then we would have seen an immediate improvement when we went from Jones to Zappe. That did not happen. Partly because the very same line with mostly the same players as this season wasn't good then either.

Bill had final say on everything. Not debatable. That was his job.

BB really left this roster a smoking crater... hard to judge the new regime right now when they have a mess of this magnitude to clean up.
Blame BB for Wolf’s mistakes and shabby coaching, players going off the reservation and having temper tantrums on the field… laughable.

Fire Bill, should be easy to replace him…

No QB, No LT, No #1 WR. As I said the choice to keep Bills OL was utter stupidity. Of all the things wolf learned under Bill he should have learned how not to butcher a roster.

And it's no guarantee we do anything on offense.. Miami defense is pretty solid. I just have no faith in the offense.

He’s Joe Montana
I think that is a very apt comparison. The "rocket arm" thing is as overrated as the "athletic qb" thing. Both can add to a qb's chances of succeeding, but neither is a guarantee. That's part of the reason, I suppose, why drafting qb's is so iffy an undertaking. The real value of a prospect cannot be measured. I'm glad that's how it is. Bean counters be damned.

Wolf was the GM, he had all the resources in the world this offseason.... but it's BB's fault he didn't fix it.

This is dumber than storing a wet fart in a brown paper bag in a rainstorm.

Do you actually think the Collaborative is already fighting with each other?
I don’t know if fighting with each other is how I would put it, but they seem to be already starting to throw blame.
Giardi brought it up in his podcast

I never expected him to to fix the mess Bill made with the roster in one offseason. Time will tell if he's up to the job.

This isn't new. The coaching was very dysfunctional for the last couple of years.

Sure, when the owner's son is hiring people, installing personnel guys and coaches, converting the offense into a west coast system even though the head coach despises it, picking players like Mac and Juju despite BB disagreeing... that will create dysfunction.

You'll be blaming Bill for the next decade or so, you'll milk it for all it's worth.

Bill picked Mac Jones, he let Meyers walk and signed a broken down Juju. Nobody else did that.

No the dysfunction I was referring to are events such as MP admitting he had no idea what he was doing, then switching to O'Brien as OC before telling him he can't bring in his own staff, Klemm publicly fighting with a Patriots staffer and then apparently quitting on the team and Bill refusing to talk to his first round draft pick QB.

Blah blah blah... defend that wall.

Well Bill doesn't know what the plan is!!
