Think it's probably high time to try to sign one of the veteran OTs still out there. I get it, there's a reason they're still free agents, but this team is really shell shocked with tackle injuries. Even if Lowe comes back healthy, and even though Jacobs looked "fine" for the most part yesterday before the game was out of hand late, they have no depth... I'd be kicking the tires on Donovan Smith and seeing if Humphries or Bakhtiari are healthy enough to come on for this year.

So he tried whipping what is next flogging or the rack?

Heard on NFL network KC may be interested in a WR trade with the rice news... do we offer up something for a tackle?

Apparently... Mayo said on the radio "Jacoby is 100% our starter and that is how we will view it going forward"

They aren't firing anyone next off-season. Like it or not this is the reset year. Right or wrong everyone will be given a pass.
Wait until it gets worse and the blame starts getting thrown around.
I’m all for firing Wolf yesterday. Once Mayo starts to realize his job could be on the line if they are 1-9 or 2-10, does he turn in Wolf? Kraft is publicly out there in support of Mayo and not do much with Wolf.

Yeah... I really don't take much of what Mayo says literally anymore. I love Mayo but he's just toting the company line.

Belichick was sort of a **** as well, in a good way, perhaps. I will say, with some fear of being misunderstood, that there are times when there is nothing wrong with admiring a ****, as the kerfuffle over the mutilation of the Hermes might suggest..
For sure he was. Brady was too. I don’t think anyone can reach that level of success without having some selfish personality quirk. But I will say that KRAFT has been over the top with his impugning of Belichick, and it really bounced back at him. And basically everything he says now sounds like drunken horseshit, as opposed to the drunken folksiness of the old days.

Personally I think wolf would be shown the door before mayo would... I think Mayo's got some leverage those other guy's don't.

Yes!!!!!!! What's mayo scared off?..

Agreed. Seeing sam darnold recovering this year has warmed me up to getting maye in there. My fear was always drake developing poor habits behind this attrocious line but it doesn’t get much worse than a qb announcing that he was seeing ghosts in a game. In the worst case scenario Drake can fix himself when the team is fixed. I hope hes in no later than week 9 at titans.

I just watched it myself, he was later asked why Jacoby is the starter and Mayo essentially said "no one can question his toughness and that's what we need right now".

To me... that translates to.... we need a human punching bag

I remember that game... who's the weak link game LOL... well I'll say this we know what thr state of the line is.. yesterday they weren't horrible per say.. but there is nothing a DC has to game plan for.. we supplanted the Panthers for the worst team in the league. I can see week 9.. that's 4 games from now.

Yeah.... your right becuase we know that's what Jacoby basically is right now. What a way for Jacoby to have to play being a 8 year veteran finally getting a starting job.. the OL is the sole reason we won't see Drake.

Yes. They can. Because the #1 issue right now is the lack of capable starting tackles on both sides. People made fun of me for wanting the Pats to draft Bookend tackles instead of a QB..
Well, good. They should've. You don't skip out on prospects like Maye just for offensive line help. What QB coming into the draft in 2025 is a better prospect than him? Get your QB first and fix the line later.

Oh... yeah of course I understand all that. I'm asking the question of what if it continues to go this way and worse the rest of the season. AVP would be off Clevelands dime like by then. Not saying they would persay..
I think it's off the table unless we both lose out and Maye looks awful when he does finally play. I don't think either occur.

Their sticking to their guns even though the offensive system is clearly not working with this personnel instead of playing Maye who is the best QB on this team and actually construct an offense that can get somewhat functional and able to help the OL.

There is more and more sign that are showing that this is a bad coaching staff
