I think Evans is reliable enough, he has hit 1000 yards every single season in the NFL. But yeah, whether he wants to come is another question since he will want targets. May come down to money. Higgins or Pittman might be more realistic. I would be perfectly happy with Higgins.I think my other issue here:
I’m not so sure paying a ton for a 30+ year old WR is a great idea. I also doubt Evans would want to come to a shaky QB situation.
Go after Higgins or Pittman, much younger guys with WR1 upside.
Patriots will face 9-6 Bills & 6-9 NYJExactly what I was just thinking…plus, if you look at Tankathon, it’s Dallas that really F’ed us. They win vs Miami and Wash has worse opponent win %.
Pats could slide all the way to 8 maybe 9 I believe if they win out and I totally see RK trying to sell “the team is trending” to the base.
We absolutely should trade down in round 1. Every team who did wins big on the dealWho they gonna spend it on? A bunch of 30 year old wideouts? With no one to throw to them?
It's not just About the QB prospect. This also cost them potentially 5 drafting slots per round.
If Bill is here, he's gonna trade out anyway.
Let's get Fields then lol??all three will be available at 5.
Caleb will go 1 to Bears
Many analysts say he would have been picked before Trevor Lawrence if they came out the same year.
Maye could drop to 3 or 4.
None of them are guaranteed to be elite...that is true.
Pats are likely not going to pick in top 4 especially if they beat the Jets
I agree... Should've went with the hot hand and used Macs injury as an excuse to keep him benchedYep, I hate to say it (even though I’ve been saying it since last year), not starting Zappe in that Bears game last year is Belichick’s worst decision of all-time. I don’t want him fired, but I would say I wouldn’t necessarily disagree if you told me you were firing Belichick because he gave Mac Jones legitimately the longest leash of all time.
Mac Jones has literally sent this franchise into a tailspin.
-There is zero doubt had Zappe started the Bears game and moving forward we would have made the playoffs last year. We would have won at least one of the Vikings, Bengals, or Raiders games.
-Destroyed Patricia’s reputation and cost him his job. People forget the offense looked good last year when Zappe got the start.
-Cost us at least being in the competition for a playoff spot this year.
-Ultimately, and most importantly, Mac Jones is apparently going to cost Bill Belichick his job.
No. Patriots move up to two spot with AZ. But the big problem is they may not want too go w/o MHJPats should be winning their next two games. The time for the tank is over.
I'm talking about Robert who's gonna come in here and clean house and hide some fancy offensive name no one heard of or worse give the job to Mayo.
Then they'll be telling us it's Zappes to lose.
It's impossible. Why would Washington pass on a QB prospect of their own?
The giants and titans both need a QB as well.
Without a top 2 pick I see no reason for the Patriots to even consider a QB in the first round.
It's a legit optionLet's get Fields then lol

Wsh faces SF & Dallas (5 losses. They will beat Det)
SF/Dal are better than Buf/NYJ
Patriots still have an advantage there IF they lose to the Jets.
So assuming NE/Wsh lose out, I think NE gets the 3 spot.
Unless I am missing something.
Mac Jones can never take another snap as a Patriots qbI agree... Should've went with the hot hand and used Macs injury as an excuse to keep him benched

I’m curious how we lost 5 spots when we currently are 3 or 4 depending upon the breakers.
Moving up could cost next years first. Too risky to trade away a 2025 first that could be a top 5 pickThey have to move up.
No choice
First the spa, now Bob is forcing guys onto each other?I really think Kraft forced Mac on Bill. No other explanation.

We are playing miles Bryant, Shawn Wade and Alex Austin full time minutes with peppers, Judon and gonzo out and are one of the best defenses in the nflfeel good for the no-quit defense they’ve been playoff caliber despite injuries and they get a win.

I have an extra room.... and an extra slice of prime ribMcCorkle might as well stay in Colorado.
I would too if I were him. What's the alternative if you own the asset?I totally see RK trying to sell “the team is trending” to the base.
