Could be but in the Year of the Tight Ends we also have our current 2 TE’s in the same situation as Dugger.

Dugger is likely to get more than his value on the open market. I doubt both or either TE will.

Because we took a tweener who apparently could have been available in the late rounds. It also isn't a true need this year when we already had a solid defense and a very lackluster offense.
