When Broderick Jones was gone, the Jets panicked and didn't know who to take, so they called Rodgers and asked him who he wants. He said "McDonalds" so they took Will McDonald. They discovered shortly after that he thought they asked what he wanted, not who.

I don't think there is any of that. It's just tape evals which, after watching these twenty-something picks seems to be how the draft is falling. Tape says Washington is high 30's-45. Sentiment seems to support that. Compound that with the fact that most teams seem to be placing a higher value on receiving tight ends than blocking tight ends and it makes sense. He's Daniel Graham with upside. Should be drafted in the same range.

If Mac was in this draft, he wouldn't have lasted to pick 5. Seriously. So, the NFL scouts/GMs/etc. believe yes...

Yeah I think people are kind of forgetting that the draft we got Mac in we kind of lucked out that there simply weren't a lot of teams looking for a QB at the time and it wasn't frontloaded with teams searching like this one.

We don't know that and even if he did, my point remains. Why risk it.
