By "unsettled" I mean that no one knows whether Mac is going to be the long-term solution in NE. Why should D-Hop sign with a team that doesn't know who its future QB is going to be? It doesn't help that Belichick has been rumored to be shopping Mac and has given a less than ringing endorsements of him.

Oh I agree! I was just putting emphasis on just how bad last season went offensively.. that it would give the perception to potential FAs.. and that how we used to be that destination FAs wanted to come to win.. we benefited for so long attracting those types of guys..

I mentioned on here during last season that tre white isn't the same all pro corner he was prior to Injury.. he is the catalyst to their defense where he allowed them to do so much.. hyde had the same injury as chancellor and likely is mulling retirement.. poyer is on the other side of 30. Loosing Edmondson was huge..

I've always felt we've had the better overall defense..
