Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Wife (Bradyite) & I (Pats fan > Brady fan) were SO looking forward to following 2 teams this season.
Not a complete mess like some seasons in the 80s & 90s but a major disappointment.

So Stafford isn’t retiring so that’s the end of that idea.

We’re they even a good option? The line is bad with bad RB’s and only Kupp

Also the raiders can have 74 million in cap space by cutting Care and reconstructing Jones thatt would be about 40mill after signing Brady and tagging Jacobs plus draft picks. 40 million to fix the defense with and offense of Jacobs, Adams, Waller, and Renfrow not too shabby

I just want him to keep playing frankly. I can appreciate just watching “just” good football meaning like 10-7, 11-6, when it’s continuing to watch the best there ever was even if he’s fallen off a bit.

Too many anti Brady people accidentally tell on them themselves when they argue “oh he can’t win a Super Bowl anymore he should just retire already.” I mean… every year 31 teams aren’t winning the Super Bowl. Doesn’t mean watching those 31 are a waste of time as long as it’s fun.

Like the Patriots last year weren’t a Super Bowl team. Not close. But they were worth watching! They played well mostly and that’s fun to see.

Agreed and he can still win a SB just not with dumb and dumber

Terrible year to be a Pats/Bucs fan.
You'll feel better after the Bucs win their next three and the wild card. We'll be dreaming of another Super Bowl run on divisional weekend.

If Brady got to finish his career as a Patriot I wouldn't care much about their record, not that it's a big deal to me now anyway. He should have been able to finish his career here. He earned that.

It's kind of odd to see Brady being criticized for playing like a top ten QB.

I don't know. Pats have stopped the downward trend from 2019 and seems to be on the upswing. The 2021 record was a bit of a mirage as they were a worse team than their record, in contrast the 2022 Pats are a better team than their record.

They should fire their defensive coordinator. Their secondary is a little weak but that's all. Raiders should hire Wade Philips. For some weird reason, he's in the XFL.

Don't worry, the XFL will be dead by May.

He hasn't been top 10 the past 2 weeks
Too many turnovers

Do people keep this energy when Mahomes has bad games
It's okay I'm one of the biggest fans out there he's having a bad year by his standards.
Still can make all the throws, but he needs to play better.

I’m just saying dudes 45 and held to standards guys younger then him are you don’t here **** about Rodgers whose actually having a bad year with a good team

There are too many things that go wrong with the Bucs that they still would have lost the last two games even if Brady played as a top 10 and limited the turnovers. The fake punt is exhibit #1. Bad call by Bowles especially with the RB day dreaming.

What I'm hanging my hat on was the 1st half against the Bengals. It was the best Brady and the Offense has played all year. So there is hope they can win at least 2 of the next 3 games and make some noise in the playoffs.

Let’s put it this way. The Patriots going into the playoffs in 2001 were a far safer bet to defy all odds and win the Super Bowl than this years Bucs. Which says a lot about this years Bucs.

Ya that first half they can play and beat anyone but the coaching is bad went away from everything they were doing.

WHY the you-know-what did the Bucs suddenly abandon the motion, etc. that was so successful in the 1st half???
