Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

They're really going to have two mediocre teams on Sunday night football next Sunday

Bucs can basically clinch the division with a win today lmfao the NFC South is a dumpster fire.
The AFCS is close to as bad.

How would you like to have the NFCE schedule this year? Beside each other they get to play Ten (7-7), Hou (1-12-1), Indy (4-9-1), Jax (6-8), GB (5-8), Min (11-3), Chi (3-11) and Detroit (7-7). That's a total record of 44-65-2 even counting Minny's 11-3. Maybe the NFCE didn't improve this year as much as they played a much softer schedule.

I don’t know if the hit has been sent on Tampa but the game changing flags and non flags on them this season are unreal

It isn't just the Bucs. It's pretty rare to find a game that isn't decided by the refs or replay officials.
Just this week there was the incredible TD call in LV.
There was also a bogus PI call against Miami that ended a game that should have gone to OT. I saw that same play go uncalled multiple times in other games.
The truth is that the league is being run by ex-Jets and it shows.
Each season it gets worse and worse too.

I have more faith in the Bucs after this game than any point in the season. Finally some motion and different things in the first half. My level of confidence is now at 1%. That aside, the NFL is always full of scandals but never the right ones. The officiating is so bad that with gambling an investigation needs to be started. I know many people have said this but It's almost time to walk away from this sport for me, it's too blatant. The refs have too much power in how they want to call the games. NFL can afford to fix it but just flat out refuse and always defend them.

Faith in what? Super Bowl? Yeah 1% is about right. But there’s very little chance they don’t win this godawful division so that’s something.

The Raiduhs DL was getting away with hands to the face against the Pats all game yesterday. And false starts (a couple got called), but they were definitely getting away with it against Judon.

Yeah or even the NFCC game. They showed some good yesterday but this team is weak. Drops everywhere and Evans needs 10 targets to do anything and always blows multiple plays. The defense is good with a lead but is being asked to do too much and Tom Brady just sucks at times.

If the Bucs didn't have those two improbable comeback wins against the Rams and the Saints then they would be 2-10 in their last 12 games. Prior to the start of the season it was unimaginable that they would have such bad results.

Watching some more of yesterday's game, they looked great in the first half. The offense was running heavy play-action and they moved the ball effectively. They started the second half with their first 5 possessions ending in turnovers (I'm including the fake punt). That's inexcusable. The botched fake punt is mindboggling... the decision to go for it, the poor execution, and Bernard's weird post game answers... just bad all around.

Brady looked good throwing the ball throughout the game but his day is pretty much ruined with the turnovers. Nice game for Gage replacing Julio and Godwin looked to be moving better and was 8-8 on his targets. The Brady-Evans connection still isn't clicking (which is unexplainable other than Evans may have lost a step). Evans is approaching the most hollow 1000-yard season in recent memory. And I don't understand why Otton is losing snaps to Brate... the rookie is the better player.

The team continues to be sloppy and undisciplined (turnovers and penalties) which in part goes back to coaching. Bowles just looks completely overwhelmed and incompetent. There's no way Tampa Bay can justify bringing him back next season at this point.

Given the remaining schedule (@ARI, CAR, @ATL), opponents with a combined 14-28 record, anything less than 3-0 is unacceptable.

Anyone else here still pissed at Brady? Hard to forgive him for convincing me to put half my 401K into FTX.

So easy to get swept up in hype and a sales job. For me, I got tangled in the meme mania. Could of worked out great except for the fact that the rich and powerful changed the rules by preventing people from buying the meme stocks. Since you could only sell, of course the price will drop.

There's always a chance a team gets hot and goes on a run, but this team hasn't shown anything remotely close to being a contender. Coaching, personel, to players not playing well.

I needed my Brady/Bucs therapy after that Pats suicide and ended up watching a double suicide!

There's too much dysfunction for the team to go on a run even if Brady starts playing like a top tier QB again.

The best hope for the team is to win 2 of the next 3 games to make the playoffs. In the playoffs, hope for luck to win a game or two.

Baker is a bum. Rams should absolutely not look to him being the answer next season if Stafford is done.

I hope you're kidding. As much as this seems like it's in hindsight (it's not); I always thought Sam Bankman Fried reeked of a slimy, disingenuous rat. I have a pretty good BS detector and I always felt wary of him, even prior to this blowing up publicly.

I always thought he was a scam artist too. He made such a huge deal about his charitable giving and I have always believed that the ones who yell the loudest about how wonderful they are are the ones who are the most corrupt.

Also stupid. You would think that if you are running a scam and were at one time worth $26B you would put say $10m in real money in a place with no US extradition treaty and plenty of hot women.
