Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

It was a wonder seeing Andy Reid work his magic with Mahomes. They are both aggressive and creative. They are a good fit. It got me to wondering whether he might be viewed in a higher regard than BB if he can continue to have this level of success for let's say another 5 years? How about 10 years? And 2 SBs.

Well every week that goes by probably makes signing Suh back cheaper.

Barrett opened his mouth saying that they were going to feast vs the Chiefs Oline lol they got manhandled 200 yards rushing

They've got a few players who don't know when to shut the hell up. No doubt about that.

They are trying to be more balanced but it's not working so far. The offence only gete going when there is an urgency to score and they start going on a hurry up offence and Brady starts calling the plays.

The left side of the OL still isn't up to snuff. That's a big part of the problem, because it's limiting what they can call. Unfortunately, without Jensen, they don't have a mauler up the middle, either, so that's making the run game weaker, too.

There's also alot of stupidity.

I counted 4 dropped picks today

Pass protection for the Bucs was very good today obvious exception was the fumble by Brady / but I think it was more Brady’s fault:

If the offense stays healthy the only thing they need to worry about is the running game - I think White should help with that because Lenny has been struggling a little.

Defense hopefully this is their worst game all year.

The Packers game is the game which I think could hurt at the end of the season - this game is largely inconsequential if the Bucs win all the games they should win

At least the offense finally showed some signs of life lol

And it's better to get these ugly losses out of the way early and be peaking in December. They have 3 cupcake games on schedule followed by two tough ones Ravens and Rams.

Getting hurt in week 4 to a non conference opponent.

Like I said, if they won last week this is sooooo much less shi.ty. 3-1 with the head to head against the Packers and 3-0 vs the NFC. But now they’re behind the Packers in both record and tiebreaker.
From what I have seen today, the packers will drop some games.

I don't think so.

They're a great regular season team. Bucs need to fix that Run Defense first before they think they have any shot at winning it all

I don't think anyone's in Bill's ballpark when it comes to coaching. His GM work leaves a lot to be desired though.

As the saying goes, let sleeping dogs lie. Crap like that just stirs up the emotions of the other team. In my sports playing days I loved playing against big mouths and hated having them on my teams.

I couldn't watch the game last night but first thing that came to mind seeing the scoring on my phone was Barrett's big mouth. Fumble on opening kick off and 21-0 or 21-3? These tough starts should be gone by now.

The KC offense was having their way anyway they wanted. The game looked lost soon after the fumble in the opening kickoff.

To me the only chance the Bucs had of winning was for Brady to go full on NO Risk It No Biscuit. But without Arians, I didn't see it happening.

I thought the play calling was too conservative. It needed to be ultra aggressive to make up for the bad defense and the huge point deficits. Not enough deep throws. Too many dump off short of the sticks. Should have gone for it on 4th down at least once. Should have tried an onside kick with 4min to go.

Defense got punched in the mouth. The Bucs run D in particular was atrocious

BB has 290 regular season wins. Let's say he goes .500 for 15 more wins between this year and next, then retires. That's 305 wins.

Reid has 233 wins. He's 64, so let's say he goes 6 more years to 70 averaging 12 wins a season with the best QB over the next years in Mahomes. That's 305 wins and certainly in the ballpark with BB for regular season records.

Also, if it weren't for Brady/NE/Tampa, Mahomee and Reid likely would have had 2 more SBs and be in the conversation for potential Goat QB and coach.

Brady is too far away, but Mahomes might end up being up there with Montana.

Reid has a shot to be up there with BB imo.

You see Mahomes winning 3 SBs? I don't. The best team in the AFC is the Bills and the Chiefs already blew a game to the Colts. I think once the playoffs begin, the loss of Hill will become more apparent and Patrick will still continue to throw dumb picks.

BB punted away his chance at being the Goat coach by getting rid of Brady and surrounding him with garbage talent in his last year. It was painful watching the Bucs yesterday. I was wishing it was Brady/Evans/Godwin playing for the Pats. The Pats use to be so good at just winning.

Why not 3? I mean I'd it weren't for Brady he'd likely have 3 already. And Brady is almost assuredly retired after this year unless he wants to stick it to Giselle and keep going.

I see the Bills and Chiefs as a toss up. The Bills have essentially replaced the Pats as the top contender against the Chiefs in the AFC. If Bills get knocked out, then they got a more than 50% to make an appearance.

Brady is only 1500 yards from reaching 100,000 total passing yards (regular season + playoffs)

Also, didn't anyone catch the stat yesterday when Rodgers reached 500 career TDs? Brady is at 719.
