Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I like this signing alot. Small white dude to work the slot? That will open up the sidelines. Queue florio and all the other noise makers though with nonsense about Covid to try and draw clicks.
He's washed.

I can be consistent since I said this last year. I think Cole is a sh.ithead who also sucks so this is probably a dumb idea.
The signing seems to be out of necessity.
An indicator to me that Godwin won’t be playing this Sunday and Julio Jones probably another game day decision.

The other slot guy, Gage, hasn't done much. There still must be some injury issue with Gage.

Hamstring is bothering Gage. I guess it's better to get all these injuries out of the way early in the season than December

Perriman and Miller aren't slot guys. Jones and Godwin probably aren't playing. Evans probably won't be able to delay suspension. Alternative slot guy, Gage, is MIA. They sort of had to sign Beasley.

Indy is a surprise. I would have thought them and Steelers were reversed. They haven't been a top team for the most part since Manning left. They must be getting in a lot as a wildcard lately.
Most of Indy's playoffs since 2000 came with Manning. How else could he have 9 one and done playoffs.

Pitt has been pretty steady by decade with 6 of 10, 6 of 10 and 2 of 2 so far.

Then there's the Pats, with only 4 missed playoffs in 22 years.

Currently has better stats than Rodgers and lmao look at how Stafford has been playing. 5 picks already. The NFC is bad and the Bucs are the best of it. Get to the SB and see what happens.

They just need to get healthy

Crazy. Tua, Wentz, and Flacco leading the league in passing yards.

If Brady doesn't have a big game by week 4, likely no MVP conversation this year. The selection is made a couple weeks before the end of season, so Brady would only have about 10 games to catch up.

It's still early but I don't think MVP is even in the cards just based on how they will run the offense. If the media didn't give it to him last year they wouldn't this year as well unless he does something out of this world.

The Beasley signing is a great one.

Beasley's had 82 catches in each of the previous 2 seasons, with better than a 73% catch rate in each year. He'd have been on someone's team if it weren't for the vax issue that is no longer an issue.

The offense should, barring OL injury, ramp up over the course of the season.

You think so? Maybe I'm being more pessimistic I thought he looked a bit washed last time he played.

He doesn't need to be great. He just needs to be a chain mover and release valve. But he's had 60+ receptions in each of his last 4 seasons, and his career high years were the last two.

How much he can still do on his own, and how much was a product of Allen/Diggs opening things up for him, is what we may be about to find out.

I agree with this so long as he stays healthy. Someone has to be able to move the chains and stay on the field. These injuries are ridiculous and will nag them all season.
