Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Keep in mind these gossip articles are often paid spin control pieces.

Just like Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley broke up because of his career, Covid stance (lol)

These pieces are always designed to make both partners seem really above board but having different values/goals. The reality is most relationship blowups are caused by vice and sin.
Yeah. I assume Tom is dialed in for the season and really that is all I am focused on. If stuff comes up, he has shown he is the best at compartmentalizing his personal life.

So @SandoNFL surveyed five anonymous NFL executives and the Bucs ranked third among NFC teams. One of them ranked them eighth out of 16. “A great two-year run.”

If you zoom right out in your browser you can get around the paywall at least for part of the article.

So the Panthers with Baker Mayfield are 5th and Commanders 6th by that same executive that put the Bucs at 8th. Seems legit.

Was able to read the Bucs part of the article. While there are valid concerns seems like a very pessimistic way to look at it. Losing Suh and Fournette being overweight in camp is way overblown and shouldn't be considered a concern.

These clowns have Greenbay 2nd lmao.

I think Bucs can be either 1-4

I think they could start off slowly, for a couple of reasons. But, over the course of the year, Godwin should get better as he gets further away from his surgery date. The two new young interior linemen (Hainsey/Goedeke) should improve their play, and that interior OL as a whole should get better working in tandem. And Suh had a down year last year, so the team might actually have upgraded at DT.

To mean, Tampa's season comes down to the same two things it came down to last year, and a 3rd thing that I've not seen a lot of discussion about:

  1. Is Brady still Brady, or at least Brady-ish?
  2. Can the team stay healthy?
  3. Can they get a quality edge rush from someone who isn't Barrett or a blitzer?

The general take for the Pats is Mac can be good, don't worry too much about the bad preseason because having BB as coach helps, the OL is average but the running game getting hot can really do a lot to help otherwise there will be a lot to ask of Mac. One of them said Belichick tried to downplay the concerns from preseason by saying preseason was overrated. Lol

Chiefs without Hill are still #1 with a couple of voters? Dunno about that...

FWIW the Pats are ranked by these experts from 6-13 in the AFC. I see our boy @MAC10 lurking his favorite player forum.

When will people freaking get off the Green Bay bandwagon. It’s not going to happen. They’re not gonna win it all again. Rodgers will throw his 30 TDs and 2 INTs to have another amazing QB Rating while going 11-6 and losing on the road in the divisional round.

It's been the same thing since 2011.

Rodgers has four MVPs. Brady only has 3 MVPs.
Brady has seven rings. Rodgers only has one ring.

Besides being better, Brady's also happier than Rodgers.

But yet your in a Patriot Fan Forum rooting for Tampa
You're the one most responsible for this side-forum and now you want to crap on Pats fans for having to come here? That's pathetic, even for you.
We're rooting for Brady because he provided us, THE PATRIOTS, with a dynasty that will never be matched.

Let's limit our discussion to the Pats. What's the record for Bill and Tom without the other but only on the Patriots? The answer is Bill resembles Rex Ryan without the playoff win and Brady looks just like Brady always has, a winner.

Why don't you go back to the main forum and continue blowing smoke up Belichick's ***. And bring your flock of trolls with you.

When you have moderator like @ashley1992 who think she detain the morale compass of the patriots fandom and basically telling that if you are not thinking like her you are not a patriots fan. It’s not surprising.

The main forum has become a bunch of yes man nodding at everything Bill does like he was some sort of a god.
I saw this coming when Bill refused to define the rolls of his coaches. That has the side effect of limiting criticism to the players on the field. There's nothing wrong with being critical but that should include coaches.

This isn't a Bucs forum, this is a Brady sub forum for following Brady's post NE career.

Nothing odd about it. What's odd are people coming over hear to complain about it.

Ian specifically made this to shut you whiners up and you still complain
That's incredibly odd, especially for a mod. What's also odd was Ian having to create this sub forum in the first place because of the crybabies.

It's come to the point now that I probably won't post in the main forum anymore. I don't have enough good things to say about Bill or bad things to say about Tom to make it over there. They can have their Belichick *********** without me.

I've been a member here since 2006, and I still get that same kind of nonsense. My suggestion (unasked) is that you put the biggest pain in the ass offenders on ignore. They're not worth your time.
I used to be against using the ignore option but it's now a Godsend.

ESPN put out their top 100 players list and have Brady at 20. 20! And for trolls from the main forum who want to get smug about this, exactly zero Patriots made their list.
I'm sure there are ex-Pats on the list though. There have been a few top players who Bill didn't want to pay.

“I’m such a big Pats fan that I no longer root/care about what happens to Tom Brady.”

-A colossal loser
This is the kind of attitude that could keep top players from coming to the Pats if they have a choice.

It definitely is not the same watching him win with the Bucs as with the Pats. It is a shame as so many of us on this thread wanted to see him finish a Patriot but Bill somehow thought the guy didn't have anymore championship football and all he has done is put up 2 of the best seasons of his career at ages 43/44.
With every passing day we see what a colossal blunder it was to dump Brady. The strategy of letting players go too early rather than too late didn't work out so well with Brady or Gronk, and might not with JC Jackson or Gilmore. In Brady We Trust.
