Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Is Brady basically a cheater? Does he cheat with most things he is involved with? Remember there were the footballs, deflated.

I don't believe he's a cheater. Or, that he ordered footballs deflated below regulation -- that whole sorry episode was a league office concoction.

Bucs receiver Chris Godwin continues to practice wearing an orange non-contact jersey.

Bucs brought two other veterans back on their practice squad in former USF defensive lineman Deadrin Senat and recently added OLB Genard Avery.

Rookie safety Nolan Turner is also back on Bucs’ practice squad. Only two spots unaccounted for, maybe for signings from other teams.

“With some friends”

Bucs have officially put Ryan Jensen on injured reserve and re-signed safety Logan Ryan. Roster maneuver complete.

Bucs practice Wednesday, off next three days, practice Monday, off Tuesday, regular game week from there …

I'm not sure, but he might have meant Thursday rather than Wednesday.

I was watching BST just now, and they put up a graphic showing that the Patriots have gone 3 years without a playoff win. It got me thinking, so I just went to ProFootballReference.com and looked up Brady's data. In Brady's career as a starter:

Missed playoffs just once (2002)
Has just 3 one-and-done years in the playoffs
Has never gone 3 years without a playoff win (no game in 2002, 1st game losses in 2009, 2010, and 2019).

So in his 20 full seasons as a starter, he's 16-4 in terms of getting at least one win in the playoffs. That's freakin' ridiculous.

They’re not losing to NO twice and who do you have getting them first seed
Idk man I have to see it first. Saints just matchup well on defense vs the Bucs

i’ve been hopeful Godwin or Gage could play week 1 but getting less hopeful by the day. is Gage even practicing? I think it’s been around 3 weeks

them trading that CB might actually help the Bucs. main thing I’m worried about those two games is the saints diving at knees

He practiced today and yes Saints lost Gardner Johnson but they're still stacked defensively

Still tied for the best record in the division in 2002 and the team lost the tiebreaker to the Jets because of a change in how tiebreakers work which I believe took effect that same season. Would have otherwise won the division anyway.

Yeah Just 3 one and dones in 21 seasons. People talk down Brady's accomplishments as "volume stats"... so how's that for a "volume stat".

Brady hasn't but Bill has. 2019-present and counting. Not coincidentally his teams have played their worst football in December in that same timeframe.

Yup.

Imagine giving up on that guy when he wanted to stay and had multiple years of championship play left.

Bucs have added a 15th player to their practice squad in cornerback Anthony Chesley, who went to Coastal Carolina and has spent time with the Bengals, Texans and Colts.

New Bucs practice-squad corner Anthony Chesley must have impressed Tampa Bay in person in Saturday's preseason finale -- dropped Scotty Miller for a loss on a screen and had a second TFL on Ke'Shawn Vaughn. Played in nine games last year, six tackles for Colts.

Bucs running back Gio Bernard was back practicing today. Corner Zyon McCollum remains sidelined. Bucs have a light practice today then are off until Monday.

Bucs tackle Tristan Wirfs also looks fine practicing today, coming back from an oblique he strained in Nashville two weeks ago. Doesn't look to be any kind of concern for the opener in Dallas.

Gage was practicing again today, which is encouraging for him next week. Godwin continues to practice wearing a non-contact jersey.

Bucs agreed to an injury settlement today with receiver Cyril Grayson. He can sign with other teams whenever he's healthy, but can't return to the Bucs before Week 8. Potential midseason help for receiver depth.

Imagine giving up on that guy when he wanted to stay and had multiple years of championship play left.
They didn't give up on him. The ungrateful punk refused to take a significantly lower 1 year deal with no guarantees, with zero input into which players should be added and zero time off from practice.

How dare Brady due any of that, especially since everyone knows it was always Bill behind every single victory ever and all Brady ever did was prevent great drafted WRs like Aaron Dobson and Nkeal Harry to be the HOF WRs that Bill drafted.

What the main forum thinks anyways
