Still no Nick Leverett at Bucs practice today. Otherwise they look close to healthy — Hainsey practicing, all the DBs as well. Didn’t see Vita Vea but likely a late arrival or rest day.

Ryan Jensen continues to practice with the rest of the line. I don't expect Bucs to say anything concrete with whether he'll be activated until Monday at 4, but we'll see. Bucs can wait until Wednesday to decide if they don't think he's ready for Cowboys game.

Sorry, not actively trying to confuse you guys. Bucs have until Wednesday to decide on activating Jensen or keeping him on IR -- there's a decision on him for Monday's game, but if he doesn't play, there's another decision on him Wednesday if they win vs. Dallas.

So if Nick Leverett can't play Monday, as looks to be the case, the options are going back to rookie Luke Goedeke, who just played a full game at right tackle in Atlanta, or activating Ryan Jensen and playing either Jensen or Hainsey at left guard. Neither has played much guard.

Jensen played guard in Baltimore, and even as recently as 2020, he stepped in and played a full game at left guard -- was there when Ronald Jones went for 98 yards against Carolina, as @matty4_matera pointed out.

Todd Bowles says there are no players ruled out — some of the offensive linemen are sore, but have two more days to rest. Too early to say what plan would be if Nick Leverett can’t go Monday.

Jesus, that team is 8-9 and continues to go south. He should get the hell out of there as fast as he can; he knew this offseason that the outlook wasn't good which is why he was trying to leave. The Bucs went all in for 2021...they backloaded a bunch of deals to make sure they "kept the band together" and spent way too much to do so. Carlton Davis, Shaq Barret, Leonard Fournette, etc. weren't worth it....they loaded up on their expensive veterans. I think with better health last year, they would have repeated, and they were still close. But in 2022, this is a team with so many holes and problems. I'm still shocked they'd go all in for Brady but still kept all their draft picks, didn't trade in-season for talent, and spent a second round pick on Kyle Trask, but that's just me. I'm not a GM so I don't know the ins-and-outs, but from my perspective, if you have a 2-3 year window, why not just do what the Rams did and really go all-in, rather than that half-baked all-in?

Betting odds have Brady with a 25% of going to NE and 25% going to SF next season. 15% chance he stays with Bucs and 10% chance he retires. Raiders and Dolphins also outside possibilities, but Tampa was also an outside possibility in 2020.

This is one case where a team is better than their record.

Coaching/playcalling cost the Bucs a game or 2.

They had tons of injuries again costing a game or 2.

They treated the last lost to Falcons as a preseason game.

With better coaching and better injury luck, they at least get 2 more wins and are 10-7.

Play to win the last game and they're 11-6. Not bad.

If Bucs go all in for Brady and gets the OC approved by Brady, they are likely a 11-6 team next year. If they had a high caliber coach like BB, Payton, Reid then they could be a 13-4 team. I'm tacking on 2 extra losses for Bowles.

Also, the Bucs are playing the weakest division next year in the AFC South. With their own weak division included, the Bucs schedule is already filled with gimme game where they should win about 7 or 8 out of 10.

I’ll say this Brady with CMC, Samuel, Aiyuk, Gronk, Kittle, and that coaching staff is the best team in the league not to mention an elite defense. They have no picks basically but the only big FA they have is Ward, they can let a Lance fully heal while learning under Brady

IF the 49ers finally want Brady he should be on a plane to San Fran the second the new league year starts without a second thought since it is by a significant margin the best spot for him both football wise and career storyline wise. Also he’ll be near his aging parents who can go to his games. His kids can go to hell and stay with their mom for the year who cares.

Are those actual Vegas odds? I'm surprised. I give both Pats and 49rs less than 10% each.

I'm getting no vibe from the Pats, Brady, or media of a possible return.

For SF, they have just shown that they can plug and play just about any QB (except Lance) and they likely found their QB of the future in Purdy.

I'm glad to see that he has a low chance of retiring. I 'd love him to play one more season wherever it may be, pull Gronk out if retirement, then retire together and go to HOF together.

Yeah, the Bills were getting "smoked" by a score of 7-3 in the 1st quarter against a team that the Bills have a better passing game than, a much better running game, more points for, a much better pass defense and the same points against. The only place that Cincy has any edge is with run defense and that's only a slight edge. IOW Buffalo is a better team than Cincy and could have won that game.

KC lost to both Cincy and Buffalo, played a much easier schedule than both and doesn't deserve the #1 seed.

You're way underrating the Bengals. Allen is a tremendous QB but Burrow had a better season and I'll take the Bengals WRs over the Bills WRs. Bills also had the second most turnovers in the NFL. They keep that up and they won't make it past the divisional round.
