what does projection #1 mean?

Most don’t even know if he’s a 3-tech or a 5-tech. He played on a very talented defensive front and got a lot of one-on-one looks. He’s not particularly polished and relies too much on his athleticism to get to the QB, which won’t work in the NFL. He’s a projection. Hutchinson is the more finished product.

Very good pick for the Jets. I think he has a brighter future than Stingley. Had him as my top-ranked CB. I wish he would have gone to Houston, but that’s Caserio for you.
