Maybe a special teamer or hybrid safety convert? Before people start pounding for Dylan Moses their measurements are almost identical and BB had all the intel he needed from Saban regarding the Bama lb.
Not "pounding" for anyone.. Just questioning the idea that a guy who weighed 231 at his Pro Day has the "Sand in the Pants" to be a typical Patriots ILB. And no, I don't mean Spikes and Bentley.. I mean more Bruschi/Seau. Both of whom were over 250 when they played ILB for the Pats.

It may be coincidence but I do think there have been far more consensus value picks this year compared to the Caserio years, so perhaps the
"Bill has changed his draft approach" stuff is true.

This might be our best draft since 2012.

Not really pinpointing you in that nugget as much as the general fanbase.

If McGrone can cover, I love the pick. If he's an early down only LB, not so much. I've read conflicting things from different places.

We’re not really a 3-4 kind of team anymore and our DTs are big beasts which would allow for a run and hit linebacker behind them.

He can, zone and man . he's a complete LB package and could be the steal of the draft if hes healthy

Something definitely feels different.

Maybe the unknown Rutgers secondary players were always Caserio’s doing?

Baltimore have taken FB Ben Mason

I’m not sure how great he’ll be in downfield coverage, but he has more than enough athleticism to go sideline-to-sideline with RBs, TEs, and even some slot receivers, unlike Bentley.

McGrone is far lighter on his feet, quicker, and faster than Bentley ever was.

The moment one gets a little excited a tragedy comes knocking
The only need & my fav pats pick is gone - Ben Mason

Hope Keene can develop to position

Demetric Felton seems to be on the shelf for longer than some beat reporters were thinking ?

There are about 5 LBs in the NFL that can actually cover. It's an overrated part of LB play in my view. As long as they have speed and burst to get to the sideline and have enough power to hold their own on the line of scrimmage, that's fine with me.

WR Cade Johnson please

Didn’t McGrone tear his ACL this year ? I’m thinking he will be stashed for a year on IR and could pay dividends in 2022. Very small for a LB. Not a horrible pick for a 5th round pick, he certainly has talent, but was hoping for a receiver with size or speed, or both.
