Yes! My boy Christian Sam. A solid player. He's an all round LB. Not amazing in coverage but a good solid player. He can get sideline to sideline okay. Has good diagnosis skills and a good tackler.

And finally one from my draft contest list.

Obviously, Belichick didn't like the linebackers available, and didn't want to trade up for one. [few here want to either, until after the fact]

I'm not sure where you're getting that theory from. From LBs to QBs to OL, people were discussing the manipulation of picks in order to get the coveted prospects at those spots.

We should draft both ILB's for more competition for Roberts. I'm not sure why Ejiofor is still there.

He isn’t. Went to the Texans the pick before us.

I posted that just a couple minutes before the Texans were on the clock.

Is Sam pretty good at covering?

What players (especially linebackers or edge players) were Belichick trying to trade up for. I certainly agree that Belichick liked the OL class and wanted to move up for Ragnow.

Is Sam pretty good at covering?

Per CBS: “Somewhat speedy run-and-chase linebacker who possesses the strength to deliver a big pop upon impact. Lacking in coverage despite his athletic talents. Best as free-roaming run-stopper.”

I has Sam as my favourite linebacker on day three. Not amazing competition and he’s not. A coverage linebacker that can run downfield with someone, but he’ll drop into a zone.
