However, the number of players on a 53 man roster that were not drafted in the first 4 rounds is NOT insignificant.

The odds may be 1 in 3 or worse as one goes form 5 to 6 to 7 to UDFA, but the point remains.

And the average length of an NFL career is like 1.7 years. Most of those guys are interchangeable bodies. Mere presence on an NFL roster does not a good draft pick make. And yeah a lot of UDFAs and 5-7 rounders end up as contributors in the aggregate, but the numerator is swamped by the denominator.

The following prospects who made official visits to Foxboro are still on the board:

Jullian Taylor, 6044/294, DE/DT, Temple
Duke Ejiofor, 6040/264, Edge
Christian Sam, 6010/244, ILB
Jacob Martin, 6020/236, ILB, Temple
Damon Webb, Safety
Braxton Berrios, WR/PR

Packers got a great looking punter.

Ok here we go...

I agree. But it is numerator that matters. If we end up with 5 players on the 53 drafted after Round 4, it matters little whether we draft or bring in 10 or 50. The point is that a 53 man roster consists of a few rookies drafted after the 4th plus many other players who were originally drafting late.

I agree with a BOTTOM LINE that folks should learn well. An INDIVIDUAL player drafted after Round 4 has a very low chance of making a roster. Draft choices after the 4th really aren't worth much, although some teams need lots of these players because of the way they structure their use of the salary cap.

Yes, Sam!

Christian Sam OLB arozina St

Christian Sam. That’s another linebacker.

We should draft both ILB's for more competition for Roberts. I'm not sure why Ejiofor is still there.

Sam is stronggg..don't know that he's going to be an good cover guy but a faster side to side against the run.
