BB owns this year's bottom of the Draft (where he usually does his magic) that mirrors Day 2 - and loading on 2019 Day 2 that could mirror bottom of 2018 Day 1 ..

Question for draft value experts.Assume Pats Get 32 pick next year.
What do they need to trade to get to #1 and do they now have that ammo ?

I doubt it. It required 2 twos and a next year two to go from 6 to 3.

BB hates this draft.

Can’t say I disagree with him. If you’re looking for defense like the pats should be, this is a pretty underwhelming draft class.

Guess we better hope so. I’ve watched white, don’t envision him as great. But then I don’t really know anything about translating college to pro. Thought jimmy sucked at first. Argued bitterly about brady vs Bledsoe. Etc

It's really the only explanation.

I kind of like seeing all the Patriots 'draft experts' on twitter pontificating about how this was all completely predictable and that fans don't understand BB as well as they do--meanwhile they keep shoving under the rug how before every round they were saying "Here's where BB is gonna shut fans up and make another Trey Flowers-esque pick!!!".

We had a lot of draft ammo this year too. It resulted in more trade downs.

Bear in mind that with all these extra picks next year, BB has the capital to trade for veterans before the season starts. Don’t rule him out yet.

I don't mind the trades too much but I'm just a little nervous about depth on D. Between last year and this year we've made 7 picks in 10 rounds. Not the best way to restock a team on the cheap.

Realistically, we loaded up for the next few years. I love acquiring next year's picks. Gives us trade versatility.

Trading for vets is BBs Draft until he's active.

I think our board was 1)ragnow 2)Evans 3)Wynn. I believe ragnow was higher because there’s reports we were trying to move up for him. The grade on Evans and Wynn was similar

Hopefully Belichick makes a trade before the season, for a defensive player or two. If HT suffers an injury we have the very same dilemma next season, likely with the same results.

The offense looks to be a juggernaut, so regardless I expect us to be right back in the AFCCG.
