Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Yes! Clint Oldenburg!

Not that I know who that is...

Really, i've been saying all along we're gonna take the all pro CLint Oldenburg. :rocker:

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

With the depth on the o-line, is he a practice squad possibility?

Right now we have Light and Kazcur starting. O'Callaghan has been injured quite a bit the past few years in both college and the NFL. We've all been waiting for Wesley Britt to emerge, but he really hasn't.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Oldenburg was rated the 43rd best OT by NFLDraftScout.com... BB and Pioli and the scouts must have seen something from this kid because he wasn't even scheduled to be a UDFA....

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Ravens grab Smith

Coe went to Colts. Why BB? WHY?

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

and troy smith goes to the Ravens.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Mayock of NFL Network says he's our kind of player, Clint that is, plays tough and stuff like that... couldn't find a report on him from NFLDraftCountdown.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Damn colts...Michael Coe (CB) Alabama St

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

hahaha......Clint Oldenburg ?? Belichick really HATED the LB's in this draft, you can't tell me Brandon Siler can't help this team, which is thin at LB more than Clint Oldenburg can help a deep OL. Oh well, in Belichick/Pioli we trust.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

So BB is on Patfans.com and he sees everyone people have been talking about and says, "well there's no way I'm taking anyone there -- who does this sebman guy think he is," and does his own thing.

I was hoping for Troy Smith -- maybe he is used in the Slash role as back, WR, and situational QB.

I still do not question The Great One.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Legendu Naanee to San Diego
Michel Coe to the Colts (figures... *SIGH*)
Troy Smith to the Ravens

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

Like so many Pats OT prospects, Oldenburg seems to have been a former tight end.

He'll probably hit the practice squad for a year while Scar learns him the fundamentals.

Re: Official 2007 NFL Draft 5th Round Discussion

On the NFL site, Oldenburg was not even in the top 28 OTs.
