This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Yeah I don’t know at what exactly those who claim that VD has been even average are looking. I’m sure he knows what to do; it’s that he…just…can’t…get there…quickly enough.
Lowes feet are slow and he does not change directions very quickly so speed hurts him as it does Owenu. Hopefully Wallace can show enough that he starts getting more run with the starters.

Edit: It's also the reason why chips tend to throw him off as was the case in preseason when Maye gor popped after Harris chipped the DE while Lowe was blocking him. It also happened with Boye when Jordan chipped and JB got sacked after he held the ball 4 eva.

This video is killing me. His laugh is infectious.

7 sacks in game one versus the Jets, wonder how many the 49ers will have?

I wonder if PFF will tell us the line was good this game?

Laughable...
Last night is an example of an inadequate line meeting a good defensive line... They didn't have to blitz (they did blitz) but the stunts alone were enough to allow the jets to play in the backfield all night long.

Cincy wasn't ready to play in week 1. Seattle wasn't much better but were able to control the line. Last night? Complete dominance of the offensive line. I think the positive reviews of the line play came from wanting to see the good while ignoring or minimizing the bad... Sorry it doesn't work that way...

We had no answers. Week 3 and we've seemingly hit the nadir of the season.

1992 redux...

Who are you going to believe, me, or your lying eyes?

It seems (to me) like defenses are seeing Onwenu as a weak link and starting to abuse him.

Edit: PFF says Onwenu was decent, but Robinson and Wallace had rough nights. Take that for what it's worth.

Yeah, Onwenu has to go back to guard. But I don’t know what the solution is to RT or LT with these injuries.

The starters on the line overperformed in week 1, but the backup line is exactly what we thought they were.

I think... short term, maybe the answer is:

Lowe / Sow / Andrews / Jordan / Onwenu

I believe Jordan is flexible to go to the right - Robinson is getting abused as a pass blocker and it'll be important to shore that up if they want to use Maye. Get a healthy Sow back on the left.

--

Longer term, you could attempt:

Lowe / Strange / Andrews / Onwenu / Wallace

Wallace had a tougher time as the game went on at LT, but should hopefully be able to hold up at RT. Depth is a concern at tackle, but it is what it is. They'd have Jacobs (swing), Jones (PS), and maybe keep Thomas as a depth tackle this year too. At least a combo of Strange/Andrews/Onwenu in the middle would be pretty strong and would prevent teams from pressuring the rookie up the middle, which is more catastrophic.

Lowe has proven himself to be our best LT. Hopefully he’s not out very long.

Pray for this, it's the best case scenario...

LT – Demontrey Jacobs,
LG – Sidy Sow, Cole Strange, Michael Jordan,
C – David Andrews, Nick Leverett,
RG – Michael Onwenu, Layden Robinson,
RT – Caedan Wallace, Zachary Thomas,

Ship Vederian Lowe off to Alaska...

why not just start Jones or put the names of all the Practice Squad OT's from other teams in a hat and start one and have a second as a backup?
===============
Or just fire the coach, GM and staff. After all, they likely think that Lowe on the team is better than having Jacobs and Thomas as our two LT's.

You're generally re-stating with what I said but just substituting Jacobs for Lowe. To each his own. Whichever guy is better, start him - the other backs up.

You misread Wozzy. He wants to cut Lowe and have NO ONE as the backup LT.

We have always known that he thinks that ANYONE is better than Lowe. Now, apparently NO ONE is also better than Lowe.

In an ideal world, Lowe is the backup. But we're in this world. And the line looked a lot worse last night without Lowe than the ones in the first two games with him.

I know PFF grades are somewhat a joke, but for people that are into the kinda thing.

I really want to see them move Mike to RG and Wallace to RT. Let Robinson battle with Sow, MJ, and whoever else is there. I just think the line is better with Mike at RG.

Maybe he should spend more time coaching instead of ****ing around?
It is great to have a work environment that is loose and fun when the hay is in the barn, not when the work is being done. If this clip is is from the sidelines during a game, Mayo is not ready to be a HC in the NFL.
