This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Boutte has good lower body strength, he's solid. He bulled his way through all kinds of resistance with that last step. Very AJ Brown-ish.
I like him.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I think that Kurt Warner is right. I'd like to know more, though.

Another positive tape review of Maye. Also shows some of the AVP offense spacing issues at the end of this

Excellent review. Thanks! (The bit at the end about the route spacing -- ah me!)

I have not looked at any Cleveland Browns tape from the last few years, but does AVP utilize different spacing when he has a strong armed QB as opposed to JB? I also have a problem with some of his play designs but am willing to see how it plays out before I jump on the fire AVP train.

Against the Texans AVP put used gun more than he did with JB because Maye is seemingly more comfy in the gun. That makes me think that AVP is willing to adapt to his QB but now can he spread the defense horizontally? I do agree with Booty (yes that is how I am spelling it), the offense is not aggressive, but the was 5 weeks of JB and Maye can unlock more aggression so I am hopeful for AVP.

Kurt Warner is a legend????

hahahahahahahahaha

Isn't he in the HoF?

Well you could argue that he did have 2-3 years in which he performed like a HOF, but the rest of his career is trash. Benched for Eli Manning, then Leinart, and I forgot who else.

Not saying there's anything wrong with his being in the HOF, but calling him a legend? Haha I don't think so.

Kurt is killing the scheme, yet Maye threw for 250 yards and 3 tds in his first game.

Kurt is not a hall of fame player.

To be fair, the Pats' RBs only rushed for 44 yards with a 2.1 average per carry. Until 1 min left in the 3Q, the Pats had only scored 7 points. The last 14 points were against a prevent defense when the team was down 2 touchdowns or more.

I think Maye did well, but the offense really struggled.

Stephanski ran the offense in Cleveland.

They weren’t playing prevent defense until the last drive that ended the game. Douglas’ 17 yarder and 35 yard TD on the two scoring drives both came against single high blitzes.

Kurt Warner is a HOF player and his analysis is usually spot on. Enough of bias . If he says something we ought to listen especially AVP. He is much better than Bedards or felger and mazz that we occasionally tune into.

You have to consider where he came from. Undrafted, not in the league for four full years, played three years in the arena league, finally got to the league as a backup, took the starter's job. He didn't even begin his career as an NFL starter until he was 28. He then took two different teams to 3 superbowls, was MVP twice and Super Bowl MVP once. His postseason QB rating is 102.8. For comparison, TB's is 89.8. Enough of a legend that someone made a movie about it.

Stefanski called plays, but AVP was involved in play design. Maybe it was more Stefanski though
No it was Stephanskis offense. AVP did the tasks of an OC (like running practice and meetings) but Stephansky designed the offense, made the personnel decisions and called the plays.

Why in the world would stephansky have AVP create a playbook for stephansky to call plays from?

The fact that you are spelling his name incorrectly is losing credibility j/k. Like I said AVP was involved, didn't say he created them all but did say involved maybe as a sounding board.
