Numbers With/Without Edelman

I'd love to see pressure/sacks/hits numbers for Brady pre and post Edelman injury
Actually the # of sacks per game from 1-9 and 10-16 are roughly the same 2.1 to 2.5. I assume hurries and pressures have gone up.

I think it also has something to do with the line, matchups, Lewis IR and DA being out.

No question he has been hit more since JE 11 left.

May not be a popular opinion but IMO Edelman is more valuable in this offense than Gronk. He is open even when he's not open and the offense essentially runs through him; when he's not there the whole thing is far less efficient.

Don't get me wrong, Gronk is amazing and he's the best TE ever, but in this system, the primary quick-twitch WR is just more important, and Jules is amazing at it.
Not sure I'd go as far as saying Jules is more important to than Gronk but I might say he's as important. The key is, when they are both on the field, their value to the offense is greater than the sum of their individual contributions.

That aside, Gronk's blocking ability is truly stellar and something that is not talked about as much as it should.

With LaFell I think there are a few things going on...

I believe LaFell is still fighting a foot issue which has hurt his production let alone not having a preseason or TC.

I also believe that because of his shoulder surgery not having an off-season to train and being matched up with CB1s has contributed to his fall-off in production.

With that said, he mentally seems in and out. Last year he seemed to grind more. Giving up on routes, etc. Making those goofy comments to the press about film review.

My perception only. Can't put my finger on it.

I think right now LaFell is 100% becuse If he had a lingering foot injury they wouldn't send him on go routes. How many times have they connected on all those heaves once? LaFell is what he is and thats a mediocre wide receiver.

IMO "Go" routes are easier on the toes and ankles than routes that require a lot of cutting.

Either way I agree with you in the sense that LaFell is a complimentary piece and not a go-to guy.

Sorry, for some reason I can't see the graphics /stats that you posted

You probably have a program that is turning off uninvited twitter feeds in your browser. I had to make an exception in mine for this site.

Ok you are going all math on me. Thats fine.

I mean, I just think LaFell is a 5 out of 10 as a player. That's what he has been historically. Last year he gave everyone the (false) impression that he is actually a 7 out of 10; this year, the (equally false) impression that he is a 3 out of 10.

Yea. He played hard last year and was he benefit of being covered by 2nd teamers and all the attention going to JE11 and Gronk.

I want everyone activated on offense.

Chandler
Martin
Gronkowski
LaFell
Amendola
Edelman
White
Jackson
Bolden

Our offense is basically unstoppable if the line holds for a bit.

There is no defense in this league that can guard all these guys, and we proved it vs the Hawks last year.

Mini-tron is going to make all the difference. The RBs have kind of mitigated the loss of Lewis. We are about to be brilliant again.
