Holy crap. Cam had almost 300 yards passing against the jete... twice. The Pats should sign him to an extension.

Depends. But if Bill decides he needs just one more year high in the draft order, we'll likely see Cam stumbling around out there emitting random eephus balls for the entire season.

Both are Patriot-type for sure. Tua has cleaner mechanics, more arm talent and is better on the short stuff we're used to. Mac has slightly better anticipation, a better deep ball, more efficient and effective there and intermediate. Tua is more mobile but both had trouble when pressure was in close quarters. Both live off PA, that's where most of Mac's deep ball came off. And again he was a lot better than Tua here. Both had trouble coming off that 1st read. Very similar players in a lot of respects. Big difference was how effective Jones was deep compared to Tua.
If you think Jones had trouble coming off his first read, you didn't watch any film

I think you guys are ahead of your ski''s on this one. If we use the Brady template he is the competing on the third team. Cam get first team, Stidham gets second. Then Mac's first job is to know the playbook, then go after Stidham's spot. Let's see when he beats out Stidham first. PFW should be able to tell us early on his competing level with the 3's. Once he get's the o.k. from Josh he will take reps from Stid. Then he has to show some serious competency of the offense. Cam would have to put balls on the ground with the new talent then coach will give him first team reps. My gut tells me Cam will play better but he has limits. If Mac gets in early we will be having a bad season, don't want that. That means Cam and Stid spit the bit and lost some games.
Brady was a 6th round pick who honestly if he failed nobody would have even remembered the pick by now. Jones is a 1st round pick. You don't draft someone in the first round without intending them to be the starter at some point.

If you disagree that's fine but at least I provide my own, original analysis. Which has been posted multiple times. I've been very fair when it comes to Jones and put more work in than most people getting paid. Certainly for than most here. And my results are better as well. Again disagree if you want but don't be a loser.

I get A22 from multiple people. Watch each prospect multiple times but I don't watch film. Makes sense.
This isn't even everything I have ...

If you watched that much film, you would have seen him work through his progressions to find the open receivers over and over again. There we some definite misses where he threw to his outlet guy when there was an open receiver for a bigger gain. But the dude would work through 4 or 5 reads consistently

Also his first read was usually Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle. Not really his fault they beat their guy and were open.

With all due respect you wouldn't know the difference between a "read", "progression" or a QB just looking a certain way bc he's looking someone off.

I'll stop here bc it's clear you have no idea what you're talking about and haven't put in any work and just repeat what you hear online or TV ... but have no problem telling someone else to "watch film". Or you can you can keep going but this ain't your bag bro, move on.

That’s a lot of footage there and an impressive layout. Good stuff.

And I see BGC is being snarky again; so predictable. Biggest ego on the forum and most fragile too.

Having all-22 tape doesn't mean he analyzed it correctly. He does not have the Alabama playbook. He does not know who the first read was. Mac does a ton of homework so hitting a receiver decisively, does not mean that was always his first read. It's also absurd BGC keeps claiming Mac only made 50% of his 2nd read throws. Posting that he has all-22 tape does not prove he is not making poor analysis and bad conclusions. Based on what I've seen he doesn't interpret information correctly.

Few things here ...
1)I'm hardly fragile lol. I actually put my grades and work out there for everyone to look at & criticize if they'd like. I even go a step further and invite criticism. I go to someone smarter than me like @TB_Helmet and ask him to compare my grades to the NFL & others. There's a running thread in the draft forum that @BobDigital has looking at each year. The come correct and actually put some work and thought into though. Be objective and give honest insight. So I'm hardly sensitive about that stuff and most people would go home crying after a few hours or weeks of my day to day work.

2)I never said "Mac only made 50% of his 2nd read throws" ... That sounds like gibberish and reads like it's written by someone having a stroke on a train. My thoughts on Mac are easy to find.

I posted a tweet by PFF that sent you into a frenzy for months saying the most hilarious things that made many chuckle behind their phone/computer no doubt. Many tried to explain how it's possible to have a high comp % and struggle a little bit beyond those reads but you have 3 brain cells left. 2 are fighting and the other is planning on killing the winner upon its victory and just weren't having it.

They're just tweets from people who watch football and come at from a different pov. No reason to flip out. Just info to consider, use or disregard. Not the end all.

I've said Mac has struggled going through his progressions at times, under pressure at times. Just like I critiqued Wilson & Lance on their concerns. And I gave the same analysis about Fields. Both good & good.
If that bothers you or others I suggest counter with proper analysis, thought/insight from watching film but let's be honest. You have none and don't do the work. You hear what you want, repeat what you want and run with a mix of don't know & clueless.

There's nothing wrong with admitting you don't know what you're talking. Nobody knows everything and not every hobby or subject is for everyone. There's nothing wrong with admitting that and asking for help.

I have no problem with people asking my opinion. I welcome and appreciate it. It's nice to have people ask and I love talking ball. What's funny though is I gave you everything you've wrote on Barmore but now I don't know what I'm talking about lol.

If you don't like what I post, please just ignore me and my threads in the future. Believe it or not but others appreciate what I do and I like doing it here. Not everyone has to interact. It's not hard to not spam threads with nonsense that don't add anything to the topic. It's childish. Following posters from thread to thread making stuff up. It's sad.

3)I've seen plenty of playbooks. There readily available online to buy or trade just like college A22. Its 2021. I'm only mildly intrigued by that stuff bc I'm not a coach or want to be a coach. There are levels to this and I don't want "coaches eyes". Some coaches can look at 25 talented prospects and not find anyone they like bc they're picky af and have a set idea on who they want. So being an X&O nerd isn't the goal. I have a very good understanding of who's running what and what they're trying to do. If you disagree that's fine. I've already spent too much time with you.

I've watched about five hours of breakdown by people who actually are coaches in football. I can tell you based on their appraisal, you're a tool that doesn't know **** about ****. Good luck being smarter than everyone though

Every QB struggles going through progressions under pressure. Thats like saying water is wet. Just less insightful. Mac had an amazing passer rating even under pressure. So he obviously knew where his open guy was based on the look the defense was giving him even under pressure.

You could do A LOT worse than Tua's father.
I’m sure you’re right, if you include some of the worst individuals in history. But, while I’m somewhat sheltered, I’ve not met that many worse... controlling, proud abuser, living through his kids...

I'm glad we're not being dramatic. I always think of tyrants and serial killers when Tua's father is brought up.
