Is that this uni?

Personally I never liked them.

I liked the white version but the blue home version was not as good.

These uni's are great.Just enough old school flavor. What they need is blue piping like the blue jerseys ones have red piping.
Is there any way of petitioning the Pats for these?

I absolutley hated the silver alternates they looked like dirty underwear.

I have always liked the idea of an updated old school red uni for the alternate that pays homage to the old uniforms but with Flying Elvis though, not Pat Patriot (not that I don't like Pat Patriot).

That Kevin Faulk pic is perfect example. That is super cool.

I hope they just keep what they have. Best dressed team in the league.

BTW I absolutely despsise throwbacks.

Didn't read the posts in here but I think our current uniform is the best in the league and wouldn't want any change...

Also - red is now an evil color to me. Whenever I see someone wearing a red hoodie, I think Super Bowl...

Agreed, but we're running out of options for the 3rd uni. White and Blue are taken, and those silver ones suck (I would say that is the general consensus, anyway).

I think as long as BB stays away from red, we'll be fine.

Why are you saying they now have the opportunity? Has something been announced that teams can change unis or something?

According to a video I watched on Giants.com from their equipment director, Joe Skiba, teams are locked into a uniform combo for 5 years after they change any part of the combination (except something like switching pants and jerseys). Since the Pats added their silver alternate in 2003, they were locked in through the 2007 season.

thanks for elaborating, I was completely unaware of this rule

Yep.. I'd hate to piss on everyone's Cheerios here, but Kraft has said several times that the Patriots will absolutely not be wearing the red uniform again. The reason being that the British army were clad in red, and the team's named after the folks who fought on the other side of that war. (Apologies to the British fans....."Patriot" depends on one's point of view). They'd also like people to be reminded of the winning Patriots, not the losers.

Perhaps in 2010 they'll make an exception and wear it for the 50th anniversary of the team.

Actually, if anyone comes to Washington and sees the U.S. Army's Old Guard fife and drum corp, they'll see them decked out in authentic colonial army red uniforms.

"The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps is the only unit of its kind in the armed forces, and is part of the The 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard). The Fife and Drum Corps is stationed at Fort Myer, VA.

The musicians of this unit recall the days of the American Revolution as they parade in uniforms patterned after those worn by the musicians of Gen. George Washington's Continental Army. Military musicians of the period wore the reverse colors of the regiments to which they were assigned. The uniforms worn by the members of the Corps are dated circa 1781, and consist of black tricorn hats, white wigs, waistcoats, colonial coveralls, and red regimental coats."

Yes i am asking that question and yes i would like to see a RED ALTERNATE CURRENT UNIFORM.

That would be cool.

I don't get the hate that the silver jerseys get.

I like them.

I don't care what anyone else says either...
