Every once in a while the jets find a nut. Problem is, they attract all the nuts in the universe also

Oh, yes Marcus Mariota will lead the Jets back to relevancy. Mark my words, all you Patriot fans Mariota will destory you guys for the next decade, once the Jets draft him.
So Marcus Mariota is the next RG3? Even if he does not also bust his knee, it takes more than one superstar.
Look at the elite teams - they are strong at
....football is truly a team sport

Where will the Pats be after Brady? Do you really think jimmy Garrapolo is the next "guy"? Hahahaha. As I said once Brady retires, Bill will follow him shortly after, and the glory days of your Patriots will cease. The fact that he proclaims that the jets will get mariota and destroy the pats for the next 10 years shows how the jets attract nuts
Brady is probably playing until 2017 and hasn't shown any decline. So you next 10 years of domination is shortened to 8. Then if Tom retires, jimmy will have had several years of learning under Tom, and the pats can groom qbs. The last 3 Brady backups are all starters at some point this year. Why can't jimmy be groomed with this cast to win 10-12 games with bb? Plus if bb coaches say 3 more years after Tom leaves, that shortens your supposed domination of 10 years to 5. You can bash bb gm and think the jets even have a shot at mariota, but the jets dominating the afce for the next 10 years is highly unlikelyWhere will the Pats be after Brady? Foxboro, Mass.Where will the Pats be after Brady?
You mean, starting quarterback? Don't know about that. He's looked really good in what little action he's seen in the preseason and vs. Kansas City, though.Do you really think jimmy Garrapolo is the next "guy"?
What's so funny? Do you have a mirror above your computer or something?Hahahaha.
Aw gosh, let's hope not! Don't be a pessimist. As I said once Brady retires, Bill will follow him shortly after, and the glory days of your Patriots will cease.
Oh, and you know Brady personally? How can you sit here and say he's playing until 2017? No, he hasn't shown signs of declining, but great Quarterbacks tend to decline rapidly. No one expects it , sees it, or feels it, it just happens. Now, do I think he will decline no? But he's not playing until 2017, and if he is playing in 2016 the Patriots will have been dethroned in 2016 by the Mariota led Jets or another AFC East rival.Brady is probably playing until 2017 and hasn't shown any decline. So, how about your garbage dump of a franchise? We have glory days, you have gory days. Closing in on 50 years!
Are you kidding me? The QB isn't just one superstar, he's the most IMPORTANT player on the field . Lets use the Pats as an example here. Bill is a great coach, but he's a medicore GM. But guess what? He has a superstar QB to cover up the defencies of his team. Look at the Packers, they have a medicore OL, below average Defense, but they have A SUPERSTAR Qb, and because of that they've been in the playoffs for six consecutive seasons. You see the trend?
And here's the diffetence it's 2014, not 1990, 1980, or 2000. The days of having an All time great and a QB like Trent Dilfer and winning a SB are over. You don't need a superstar QB to win it all, just need a good one, but in order to achieve sustained success you need a superstar QB.**********No*************
The Steelers historically have covered the four positions I mentioned well, and so did the Landry Cowboys. The Patriots ten years ago did too when Scott Pioli was here, as did the Colts.
This is not basketball.
Not a crappy franchise? It's a TERRIBLE franchise owned by a clueless goofball, managed by an inept bean counter, coached by a bipolar pervert, and cheered for by delusional fools. You need to wake up to reality, pal.We have fielded sb caliber rosters before. Why we didn't win? Well, sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. Honestly, our '98 team, that went to the AFC Championship game, may very well be better than your 2001 team. We lost to an all time great QB, in Elway, who we should have closed out. Our defense collapsed in the second half vs Manning, and ironically in the third AFC title game, we didn't show up in the first half. But , no the Jets have not been a laughing stock, like posters here and in the media believe. This year? Probably, but over the course of fourteen years, we've won six playoff games, a divison title, and have made the playoffs six times. No, it doesn't compare to the success your Pats have had, but we're most definitely not a "crappy franchise".

Had RG3 stayed healthy, the Redskins would be a legitmate threat in the NFC East. But he's fragile, and he hasn't been the same since his torn ACL. Once you get the Quarterback everyone looks better; The GM, the Coach, the owner, etc. Of course, you need more, but rarely do you ever see a great Quarterback miss the playoffs. And if we get that Quarterback we will be in the mix every year regardless of the defencies on our roster (see Brady and Rodgers). I'm tired of seeing the Ken O Brien's, Sanchez's, and the Geno's. I WANT a Superstar, who can stay healthy. At least you've been able to witness Aikman, and a good Quarterback in Romo(Not sure if you Staubach). The only great Jet quarterback I've seen has been Pennington, but unfortunately his career was cut short due to injuries. Everything becomes easy once you find your franchise Quarterback; I don't see why you refuse to accept this.Again, I don't slight having a great QB, but you need more. The Patriots have a great owner, HC, QB....I make a concession a Scott Pioli type might need to come back as GM, but that's still 3 of 4. You are saying one superstar QB and the Jets are golden. Captain Obvious question: and you are not addressing the Jets GM or HC? Another question: why wasn't RG3 the cure all for Washington?
The Belichick system is to get pretty good players and not break the bank at any one position. I'm not saying to settle for a QB that just "drives the bus", but they did not have to draft high to get Brady - same with a number of other QBs.
You are as entertaining as some homer idiots from the Cowboys Zone that declare Jerry Jones single handedly won their three SBs in the 90's - there are 500 coaches like Jimmy Johnson....and since 1997 the Cowboys have had less playoff victories than even the Jets! The common thread you have with the Jerry Jones fans is you think one person can win a championship - good luck!
