Jeff Triplette, too

NFL senior vice president of officiating Al Riveron just tweeted out word that longtime refs Ed Hochuli and Jeff Triplette were retiring, and were being replaced in the rotation by former back judge Shawn Hochuli and side judge Alex Kemp.

Shame they couldn't take Corrente with them

Hoculi ain't great but he was one of the better refs in the league. I will miss him and his lovely biceps (seriously, they look nice).

I'm waiting for that clown Jerome Boger to retire.

Those f...ng liberals and their disdain for guns did it...

I'll never forget him negating the sack-fumble on Flacco because his forward progress was stopped when he was dropping back to pass the ball:confused:

There was a similar call in the Chiefs-Titans playoff game a few months ago when Mariota was sacked. That was a higher profile game, so it made sense that there was a "Terrible call/incompetent officiating" reaction in the media. With Flacco and the Patriots, we (and other Patriots message boards) made a big deal about it. Outside of that, the reaction was "Hmm...You don't see that every day" and it was quickly forgotten.

Best NFL news since the Pats beat Jax!!
