Another broadcaster fail........right before Vinatieri's game winning kick they show a hihglight of him attempting a field goal in pre game warmups......even though he made that one Summeral says something like "oh, well he missed that one in pre game".......but he didn't
Summerall made a lot of mistakes in that game (misidentified players a lot). After all, that was his final game before his (planned) retirement, was it not?

Yes, and I wish it had not been him. The FRIGGIN Super Bowl was won on the last play of regulation and yet his game winning call sounded like ho hum, golf commentating.

This whole thing is hilarious; but it's also chock full of familiar guys who look a lot younger than they do now...just like me! Includes Terry Bradshaw's first NFL pass completion. Look for Pats' Tom Neville, too.

Just watched.

We're never going to win the super bowl with this offense.

If we're being honest you can't count me as part of the group that was pleasantly shocked to see the Pats win.

The Rams were no. 1 in offense and I think something like no. 3 in defense too. They were the whole package and if you look at the 2001 Pats team their roster was mediocre.....a bunch of blue collar guys that played hard. Ultimately they found a way to get the job done and it all came together as a thing of beauty in this Super Bowl. That year the Pats did something that will probably never be replicated.....their offense scored only three touchdowns in the entire playoff run.

I think the biggest lesson I learned from that SB was to never lose faith in this team, to always have hope. The Rams had 427 yards of offense that day but the Patriots found a way to win. That defense evolved just a few years later into one of the greatest defenses the Patriots have ever had.

Players are human and not perfect and lady luck is not always on our side and officials make mistakes. Sometimes things just don't go your way. If there is a team that has the best chance to overcome those odds, it's the Patriots. From the Tuck Rule to Ghost's missed PAT, there are pivotal moments that we all remember, some good, some bad. Sometimes, I think we focus too much on the bad.
