Teams have figured out his limitations and the Ravens set the blueprint. He has to prove he can throw to the middle of the field, prove he can process past the first read and a few other things. That's the NFL.
Which is why Maye is a generational prospect, he does it all well. Teams have tried blitzing, man, zone, spies, disguises. They have not found anything that consistently works other than occasional dumb throw and below average wide receivers.
Daniels can't process well at all and never did in college does not have a strong arm and dislikes throwing over the middle. Defenses just need to Keep rush lanes, take away first read, give him middle throws vs to the outside. So far he hasn't shown he can beat it against good defenses. We will see if he improves. As a 5-year college player and soon to be 24 year old rookie he has a big hurdle to overcome. I hope he comes back next year and shows he can overcome his limitations. He's exciting player when he plays well, need more of those players in games.
Jayden Daniels had 32 pass attempts tonight and 24 of them were within five yards of the line of scrimmage
