Because that's not how NFL trades generally work. QBs maybe but how often have you seen the best player at one position traded for the best player at the same position on the other team before?

Yeah, but reading a Colts forum, Pierce has had a major case of the dropsies. Like he has as many drops as big catches. And they’ve got another journeyman (Ashton Dulin) who is doing well and sounds like he’s gonna start in front of Pierce…

The Browns aren't gonna make a trade. Grant is their #4 WR. They have Amari Cooper, Donovan People-Jones, and David Bell. They also have 2nd year player Anthony Scwartz and 6th round pick Mike Woods II.


I think it's much more likely that one of the following comes knocking.

Dallas could be looking for a WR if they suffer an injury.. They are really thin after losing Cooper and Wilson.

Green Bay could be looking for a Vet WR. Otherwise they could have 3 rookies in their top 5..

Tennessee could be looking for a Vet WR. Woods is coming off an injury. I could see them looking at Meyers for the slot.

The Raiders could look for WR help if Keelan Cole doesn't work out.

The Cardinals could be looking for WR help. While the addition of Brown will help them out, the loss of Hopkins for 6 games is Huge. And there is no telling when the wheels will fall off for AJ Green. Losing Kirk, who played primarily out of the slot, is a big loss for them, though Rondale Moore could finally be ready to take the next step to being an every down WR. An injury Moore or Brown or Green losing it will really hurt their depth.

I don't think he was even brought in (Patriots). He's not exactly Wilfork but he could have possibly helped with the run D that IMO is still going to be a problem up front. We shall see.
